We loved the cottage and location. Very family-friendly or for a smaller group. The deck was wonderful to sit at and watch the lake, relax, have a meal or just visit. Loved that the paddleboat is for guest's use if they choose. Great area for a bonfire too. We will definitely be back next summer! Thank you for everything!Kathy

Very clean and well kept up. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen well equipped for everything you would need. Quiet lake, except for 4 th of July, which is understandable.

Cottage was super clean and plenty enough room for us 6 adults. It was tough with only one bathroom but we made do just fine. The lake entrance at the house is nice and sandy and shallow enough to wade or swim in. It was a little cold on our visit but it would be a wonder stay during summer months. One thing I did notice, they do not have air conditioning but there are many fans, which was nice for all us all year round fan sleepers. I would recommend staying here.

We looked at the pictures on the VRBO website and they looked nice. I also asked my brother, ho lives near the cabin to stop by the property and give me his report. Everything sounded great so we looked forward the trip. What we didn't realize, from the VRBO website or from my brothers' report, was how the comfort and quiet of the cabin covered you in like a warm blanket. I think people should expect a rental to be clean and the host gracious and the location wonderful. But, I don't know how you express the feeling of comfort we felt at this beautiful place. During the day the lake had some expected activity, but nothing close to loud. The mornings were peaceful mixing well with the first cup of coffee enjoyed on the deck. People look for different things to fulfill their vacation exceptions. Our exceptions were far exceeded with your lovely cabin on Shingle Lake.

Relaxing Getaway

This was a perfect place to relax and refresh for five busy moms and best friends. We loved sitting in the lake all day and laughing by the fire at night. We can’t wait to stay again!

Great getaway!

Beautiful house with a great view of the lake. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Lots of good fishing in the area! We enjoyed our stay very much.

Girls trip 2024

We had a great time- place was right on the water, with a sandy bottom. Was a bit warm, but the fans they provided, was a huge help. Weather was great! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Great little lakeside home

I had family stay at this property during my wedding over the Fourth of July weekend on Lake George. The cabin was perfect as was the host. Thank you for the stay.
