We were a little worried the place would be hot since the main living area was outdoors, but it had ample ventilation and numerous fans to keep it comfortable. It was a great place to have a lazy morning and to relax after touring the area. Mary was easy to communicate with as well.

My family loved staying at the Garden Hideaway in Luquillo. Sitting on the couch swing and listening to the birds in the morning, and the coquis chirp in the evening in the open-air living space. It is a perfect location to visit the beach AND the rainforest.

This property is a 10/10! It comes equip with an outside kitchen and it has all the things you need to cook and grill. There is a washer and dryer located on property as well. The rooms are decent sizes with a bathroom for each bedroom. Overall a very great stay!

Mary was welcoming and very responsive. My daughter and I stayed for three nights in this beautiful open air apartment The apartment is spacious and comfortable with hot showers and an excellent swinging couch in the main living area. Its an easy drive to beaches, El Yunque and lots of restaurants. This place was a highlight of our weeklong tour of the island. We also appreciated hearing of Mary's involvement with rescuing island dogs. Our pet Tilly was adopted from Milagros Para Satos from Yuaco. We would love to return (and bring the family!)

Garden Hideaway

What an amazing experience, it was so much fun staying in the open air rental. The space is beautiful and clean. The neighborhood amazingly beautiful and so close to the rain forest. We had a great time.

Graduation gift

My friends and I took my 18 year old cousin to PR as a graduation present and we could not have stayed at a better location ! The house was wonderful! It was clean and the host responded in a timely manner. Would definitely go back there !

The Alaskan and Oregon cousins

The property and amenities were great! We loved the open air! The kitchen was very well stocked, the showers had hot water. Our host provided beach chairs, cooler and umbrella. Plenty of towels! It was the best place we stayed in out of a total of 5 during the 3 weeks we traveled around PR

We had a great time at the hideaway garden. The accommodations were quite comfortable and we almost finished the puzzle! It was a little buggy after the rain but bug spray and insect repellent were provided.

Unique Setting

Mary & Jeff were excellent hosts. Very clean and unique home. The bed was so comfortable and slept well every night. Loved listening to all the nature sounds. Felt very safe staying here. There were people staying in the unit above us but never heard them, very well insulated.

Nature lovers dream

LOVED this place! We only had a reservation for two nights but wished we had spent our whole stay in Puerto Rico here. We love nature and the open living space was incredible. Each evening was spent swinging on the living room swing listening to nature singing to us! The neighborhood was quiet and safe. And it was conveniently located to the rainforest and wonderful beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Will definitely book again when we return to Puerto Rico!

Nice Property , except for the Mosquitoes

The mosquitoes were extremely bad outside and a few inside at night . But the property was great as well as the host.
