This oceanfront and dog-friendly Rockaway Beach vacation rental offers guests panoramic views of the ocean, a private hot tub on the sand, a wood-burning fireplace, and a private washer/dryer. The main floor has a 55" smart TV that has access to all the streaming apps plus a full complement of cable TV channels, as well as a DVR. Downstairs, in the den, the TV has cable channels, all the streaming apps plus a PlayStation - perfect for the whole family!

This dream vacation rental is tucked away in a quiet area just north of downtown Rockaway Beach, providing plenty of peace and quiet while still staying close to shopping and dining. A stroll south along the beach leads to Manhattan Beach State Park, or to the marina on Nehalem Bay to the north. Activities include fishing, crabbing, and clamming, and the deck offers panoramic views of the Pacific ocean.

Gorgeous View

The house has everything you need, but who cares? The view and location are the reasons why you would rent this house. Being able to view the sunset from the back porch, right off the main living area, or from the hot tub, is amazing.

Big house beautiful view

If you’re looking for a house fir right on the water this one in great. It was not as well stocked as some of the other VRBOs I’ve stayed in, but it was a great place for the family to spread out and relax.

Great view!

Great location on the beach with beautiful views. The house and it’s furnishings need some love and deep cleaning. We enjoyed the daily proximity to the ocean with all the sights, sounds and fresh air.

a stormy coast trip doesn't disappoint. Light a fire and just relax! Hot tub was so fun even with the rain. One of my favorite places to stay.

Breathtaking!

I wanted a comfortable house with all the amenities steps from the beach, and boy did this deliver! The sea breeze wafting through as we watched the sunset with a glass of wine was priceless.

Great beach location

We enjoyed our stay but left a day early because we were ready to return home before the Memorial Day rush. The house was smaller than we thought from the pictures. I would like to see a broom available for sweeping the sand out of the house now and then.

Great location but run down in desperate need of repair

Loved the location right on the sand of a magnificent beach. But, the house has not been properly maintained. Appliances all need to be replaced, sheets and towels are worn thin - need to be replaced. The cookware is cheap - easily scratched - that is the new ones brought to us as the old ones went immediately into the trash. The house cleaning was terrible - found food under the couch, dust everywhere. Carpets dirty and worn thin - beyond repair. The screens on the doors all had tears.

Loved being on the beach

Great location. Hot tub was a treat. Kitchen is well stocked. Front door and lock was a mess. E-lock stopped working and key didn’t work. I was locked out for about a hour. Thank goodness maintenance responded quickly. It did require installing a new lock

Unfortunately we had no power for almost the whole stay ! There were no candles

It was very dismal as we had no power but luckily there was a fireplace but the wood was too Smokey - we had to get other duraflame logs.

Absolutely perfect

We came here for our 6th anniversary getaway and it was perfect. We have a newborn and our dogs with us so we didn’t want to travel far, this house was available and exceeded all our expectations. The beachfront access was huge for us. The downstairs game room was a really fun touch, you can tell the homeowners really love kids. The hot tub was great for after we got the baby down, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. Very clean! We couldn’t keep a fire lit in the fireplace to save our lives but next time we’ll just have to bring more kindling. An anniversary trip to remember for sure.

What a view!

If you are looking for a great view and a short, easy hike to the beach then this house would fit the bill. Rain and thunderstorms were in the forecast for our stay, but instead we had beautiful weather with amazing sunsets. Didn't see the sun hit the horizon, but came close each evening! Just beautiful skies. The kitchen is very well stocked with any and all pots and pans and utensils you need. The hot tub was nice, but lacks pressure so the jets weren't as powerful as we like. The deck including the gas grill and Adirondack chairs were well used by us. The beds upstairs were very comfortable. We slept great! The couches are not comfortable. We were worried about having just the one bathroom upstairs, but we managed. The stairs to the downstairs which is also where you park your cars in the driveway are a little narrow and steep which can be challenging for some. We enjoyed going into town and hope to come back to Rockaway Beach one day.

Rockaway Beach rental

My daughter and I rented this house for two weeks, mid- to late September 2023. It is a comfortable house, and it appears that the owners have addressed earlier reviewers’ comments. I am an older adult and I navigated the stairs without trouble, but it is worth a cautionary note: the only inside access to the main living area and two bedrooms is a steep, narrow, dimly lighted stairway. Anyone with joint or mobility issues should be forewarned. The lower level has bunk beds, a bathroom, a game room and modern laundry and is well-designed for children or teens. That said, the view and private access to a beautiful, long sand beach are simply outstanding. Oh yeah, there’s the starry night sky and the hot tub too. We had a wonderful time! Don’t miss the very good oceanside Sand Dollar Restaurant and Lounge in Rockaway Beach. Additionally, fresh fish, crab, oysters and smoked salmon are available from friendly sellers within a few miles of home, and there’s a wetland walk with a giant 100-year-old red cedar just south of town that is well worth visiting. I want to note, too, that the few requests we had were promptly taken care of by local Vacasa staff members. I heartily recommend this rental and the northern coast area

Oceanfront house with beach access

Aliyah is in a nice quiet neighborhood bordering the beach. Access to the beach is on a path right off the back deck with a short walk to the actual beach. The hot tub off the back deck is a plus though it would have been nice to have a wind break as it is out in the open. If you want to use the fireplace, you will need to bring kindling and paper, though there is a large supply of firewood in the downstairs closet. The beds and couches were quite comfortable and there were box fans in the two upstairs bedrooms. Neither bathroom has ventilation, though the upstairs one has a window. The friend who stayed downstairs complained about a mildew smell which also could be because of no ventilation in the bathroom or laundry area. The dryer wasn't working but I had received a message prior to our trip advising of that fact. The staircase has shallow steps so we took the path on the right side of he house to access the doors off the back deck when taking our suitcases to the 2nd floor. The rug in front of the 2nd floor sink needs to have a skid proof backing as I slipped on it. It would be nice to have a griddle in the kitchen for pancakes. The cookware was rather worn but there was a large selection of spices. It was nice to sit on the back deck and watch the sunset.

Sweet old-school beach cottage on Manhattan Beach/Rockaway Beach

What a cool property! Beautiful Douglas fir trim throughout the main (upper) level with A-framed ceilings. Amaaaazing views of the ocean from the living-dining-kitchen area and deck, and a path straight to the beach. Plenty of room to spread out (we had 5 people, but it would certainly handle a couple more.) Lovely long, quiet beach, perfect for long walks and beachcombing, and great for kite flying! Very comfy beds with plenty of extra bedding at the end of the day. If you need cutting edge "curated" beach housing with sterile shiny everything that is indistinguishable from your downtown condo, this isn't it, but for those of us who grew up in the days of comfy beach cottages with kids running in and out and a warm family feel, this is it. And oh yes, there's a washer and dryer! And the wifi works great!! There's a small market/ convenience store in Rockaway Beach that will cover 80% of your needs, but I want to give a shout-out to a legit grocery store 15 minutes to the north up 101 in Manzanita called Manzanita Fresh Foods (an IGA store.) It has pretty much everything that you forgot to pack, and the prices weren't bad at all for a beach setting. For a break from the beach, check out the Rockaway Big (Cedar) Tree Trailhead toward the southern end of the town of Rockaway Beach, on the inland side. There is an elevated boardwalk that takes you over a wetlands area with native plants - about a mile total from the parking lot and back, but very easy access for everyone, including anyone with mobility issues (including wheelchair users), and a lovely look at the native ecosystem of this portion of the Oregon coast. Recommended for people looking for a lazy, laid-back beach stay.
