At Sleepy Hollow Cottage you will enjoy the beautiful water and fantastic view of Smith Lake at our 3 bedroom 2 bath brick house.
Relax in the sunroom or on the spacious deck as you view beautiful Smith Lake. Or, take the easy, short walk on gently sloping lot to the double slip boat house with large swim/sun deck -great place for the children to swim and adults to sit and/or soak up the sun or fish. Only a little over one mile by water from Duncan Bridge. Located in a quiet slough just a short distance from the main body with deep water. Slough is popular with fishermen.
Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom has bunk beds. There is a sofa bed in the sunroom and convertable futon bed in the living room with plenty of room for additional blow up beds if desired.
Large kitchen/dining room combination has large table that easily seats 10 and another table in sunroom with seating for 4. Fully equipped kitchen for preparing those special vacation meals for your family.
Lengthy paved driveway offers plenty of level area for parking for cars and boat trailors and with covered parking for 2 vehicles.

Smith Lake Happiness

This lake house was perfect and just what we needed. The large open living room and kitchen had lots of space to move around. The dock was the perfect place to fish. The area of the lake was quiet and relaxing. We loved this house and location.

Has Potential

The location of this property is wonderful! The neighborhood is very quiet - there is construction happening next door but it wasn’t disturbing. The water is deep and clean. The lot makes it easy to access the water. This property is very old and has not been kept up very well. There were multiple things in the house that just needed to be fixed. All of the sinks need the regulator replaced, water would go everywhere. The microwave was rusted on the inside. There was a light out the back door that would get stuck in the door each time you opened it. The back door barely closed when it wasn’t locked. The dock had multiple rotted out boards. One area was roped off but the boards under the ladder were rotting and dangerous. The back porch was covered in roaches as soon as the sun went down.

Wonderful lake getaway. Highly recommend for a peaceful and relaxing time.

Very clean, homey environment. Enough room for a larger family ti be comfortable. Easy to get in and out. Easy access to stores. So peaceful and easy access to the lake.

Perfect Family Mini-Vacay

Our family of 5 adults enjoyed this property so much. The location on Smith Lake is fantastic - less than 3 miles from a grocery store and fast food. The rooms, living areas, kitchen, and bathrooms were well appointed with tons of supplies, pots/pans, dish ware, fluffy towels and extra linens. Everything is labeled and very easy to find. The property owner is a great guys who keeps in touch in case there’s anything you need. The dock area was big and the water was perfect. We had the best time and recommend this beautiful lakehouse to anyone.

Arley Day get-away

Drove from San Antonio to Arley overnight. The owner was generous with the check-in time. Much appreciated. It's a smaller property, but the interior layout really maximized the sqft. The kitchen, living room and the enclosed sun porch worked together and we had plenty of entertainment space. The deck below was the best place to watch the lake. Overall, a great home on the lake.Close to Gateway, Arley Day and Jasper.

Thanksgiving retreat

The seating in the den and kitchen table were wonderful. We could all sit comfortably which is important when you are all adults. The fire pit was our favorite hangout! The owners were easy to communicate with and the home was clean. Comfortable mattresses!

Perfect getaway

We were in town for my daughters wedding. This place was perfect for our stay. Plenty of room. Plenty of parking. The carport is big enough for two pick up trucks. 20 minutes from Walmart 7 min to the grocery store. The house was clean. The dock was perfect for swimming and fishing. The dock has two slips. One big enough for my pontoon. The deer walked out of the woods into the yard as we sat and watched. Doe with twins. With in a few min of being there we were welcomed by the neighbors from their dock. Fantastic folks for sure. If we make it back down this way I would stay here again for sure. Check out promptly at 11 for sure though. We were out with about a min to spare and at 11 the cleaning crew showed up. Which I thought was fantastic. How many times have you been to a place and wondered if it had been cleaned. No worries we met the crew and they were super nice as well.

Quiet cove off main channel

Good location. House has two queen beds a bed bed and some pullouts. Stocked with everything you need. Older house and dock. Very close to water with easy access… very few steps. Owner very responsive and helpful.

Perfect Getaway

Clean and roomy. Had everything we needed for our stay. Neighbors are friendly and were sociable, in a good way! Loved the swim dock and the boat slips suited our boat and waverunners. Wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be returning to this location. Only downside was the water pressure in the master shower. The main bathroom shower was fine.

Rest & Relaxation

The property met our expectations from the description and was a great place to relax and unplug. The neighbors are friendly and it was peaceful sitting on the deck and enjoying the lake views. The home was very comfortable and had everything you need. I would highly recommend, especially for the price point.

Perfect Place on the Lake

Everything about this property was amazing. House was great. It was roomy, had all the amenities we needed, it was very clean. We loved that there were no steps down to the water, and it is not far from the boat ramp at all if you are bringing a boat. Probably my favorite house we have stayed at on the lake so far.

June Get away

We made a last minute decision to escape to Lewis Smith Lake… this was our 3rd time on the Lake 2nd time in Jasper! The kids enjoyed every second on the water, whether fishing, swimming or tubing! Plenty of outdoor porch space to cook, hangout and enjoy the views. Neighbors we’re incredibly nice and even offered us some fire wood for the evening! We have already begun discussing when we should return!

Great Spot on the Lake

This is our second stay at this particular spot - it's an awesome spot on the lake - right by Duncan bridge which makes the entire lake accessible by boat. The kids had a ton of fun off the the dock one day when our boat was in need of repair. I would suggest to fix the lights on the dock, they were not operating during our visit and the visit before. We had a lot of fun, will be back.

Outstanding deal on Smith lake Alabama

Property was beautiful clean and close to duncan bridge and deep water dock for our wake boat. Plenty of room and A LOT was furnished. 10 stars. We will be doing business with the Bennetts in the future

We love beautiful Smith Lake. I grew up here and my wife and our family have enjoyed spending time on the lake and have vacationed here for many years. Also, our house is only 10 miles from Jasper and only 2 1/2 miles from the Curry community where we have grocery stores, pharmacy, hardware store, and many restaurants. Our house is easy to get to from every direction. It is in a fantastic spot on Smith Lake.

While at the cottage, you will enjoy a gorgeous view of Smith Lake. From the front door of the house, you can walk to the water with no steps on a gently sloping lot where kids can easily play.
It is located just off the main body one mile from Duncan Bridge by water. You can enjoy boating,fishing, swimming, or just basking in the sun with the convenience of a double boat slip with a large swim/sun deck. Grill out and have a picnic on the large deck by the water and as the sun goes down, enjoy a fire lakeside in the firepit or enjoy one of those beautiful Smith Lake sunsets! Duncan Bridge Marina (pontoon rentals), shopping and restaurants are within 2-3 miles. For price, convenience, and comfort in a quiet, relaxed setting, we believe our cottage CAN'T BE BEAT!
