Only issue was 1 mattress was in desperate need of replacement one side just worn other side worn out and VERY uncomfortable

Meeting Family

Loved this house, it was clean, simple & comfortable and there was plenty of space for 5 adults. We came to meet family that lives here and learned about the people and area. It was great and would definitely come back to stay with my family.

Graduation get away

We loved the house. Old school but modern. The basement was amazing. And the mattresses made you want to lay in bed all day.Handicap access would make this place perfect. There was only 2 things that made me raise an eyebrow. 1: There was a dirty pan left in the oven 2: There yard was not cut and groomed.

Quiet and cozy

I loved that it was at the end of a street. Little traffic and quiet. Red Rock Lake wasn't a far drive and that was the main reason for booking this location. Kids were excited for the entertainment in the basement but was chillier down there than expected. Did make adjustments to thermostat and was much better. Wish there was a bigger grill and more cookware in the kitchen. We did have to run to a nearby store to get items to cook with since the grill wasn't big enough.

Amazing visit to Iowa

Our son has been asking to go to IA for a few years now and we finally decided to pick a spot and visit. We were looking to visit Pella and also saw some fun things to do in Knoxville. This house was perfectly located and fit our needs. The house was very clean and the game room in the basement was an added bonus! Highly recommend a visit to this area and a stay in this house!

Race getaway

House was very nice felt like we were in our own home. Everything was nice and clean. Very comfortable beds also. Entertaining basement and just a great setup all the way around. Hope to come back and use again. Thank you

Second time stay

Just like the first time we stayed in the Porter house, Chris was so helpful and hospitable with any things that came up. The house is always so clean and welcoming. Cozy, like home. This time we enjoyed the new beds, so comfortable. Slept great! Thanks again for everything Chris! Looking forward to next time 😉

Very pleased

It was very nice. We all very much enjoyed ourselves and I believe we would definitely go back again. I had a few problems if you would say with communication with the host at the end but other than that, I would definitely go back.

Perfect for what we needed

Visiting family for a 100th birthday and a funeral. We needed our own space plus close to family. This was PERFECT! We also enjoyed all the games in the basement. It was very clean and I personally loved how it wasn’t “updated”. We will most definitely stay again. Thank you!
