Sip coffee on the huge deck while enjoying views of Lake James and Lake James State Park. The Cozy cabin is all wood inside and offers 3 queen beds. Fall in love with the lake and the trails in the area. This cabin built in 2024 feels like your favorite pair of blue jeans. Sun rises and moon rises are spectacular here. We are located right next to Lake James Marina, they have a few slips available for daily rental.

Free overnight parking for boat trailers and boats on trailers is located 1/8 mile away at Lake James State Park- Canal Bridge boat launch.

Boat trailers are not allowed at the rental cabin.

Cute cabin. Access isn’t far for the Fonta Flora trails. Harbor noise wasn’t that loud. Amazing deck. Great shower. Good for a quick getaway..

has a lake view, you cannot park your trailer at the marina, you have to drive up the road across the bridge to state park, we were told a 100 yard walk, not that. to get up to the place is an extreme elevation so you car on way out will bottom out, be careful. There is a back entrance that is much safer. If you have a boat, the marina will charge you 50 bucks a night to leave it there. The home also had an influx of wasps, not sure what was up there. Also the loft is like Frodo Baggins type ceiling, anyone over 5 foot will have to duck to move around. Its nice location, just over priced

Very nice

It was great. Perfect location right behind the Lake James Marina. Had a great view. The deck was very large which is perfect because you spend the most of your time on the deck. Large TVs everywhere although you should be out on the Lake or hiking. Lol

Nice place to stay!

This is a nice little place to stay on the water at Lake James. We did have a few issues with the place. The bathroom fan worked sometimes, but mostly not. The sliding glass door to the kitchen is very hard to lock. This needs attention.

Disaster Zone

There was not any communication about the state of the area we were staying. There were widespread power outages over the entire region, no water, no cell service and it was extremely dangerous to stay there. We only stayed one night and left the next morning. I have combed thru emails and I didn't see any warnings come from ya'll about the state of the area. We got our check in information so we thought everything was good to go...it was not good to go at all. Horrible experience.

I’m sorry you had a bad experience. Ho one could know or predict the size and strength of this storm. It was unprecedented in the NC area. Many lost their friends, family, and homes. I’ve spent the last two weeks helping out where I can.

Beautiful cabin! while not ON the water, it’s as close as you could get. I love how every bit on space was utilized. (I rented this hoping is was a tiny home setup and it is). The deck is where I spent every night for hours listening to the locusts and frog and maybe the occasional late night boat. The shower is great. If you’re one that needs HIGH water pressure, lake home isnt for you, but it was decent! The only thing I wished were different would be much dimmer lighting options for the deck. Just felt a little on display at night so I just left them off. Love the layout, I feel the bed in the downstairs bdrm was quite comfortable. Loved the TV on the deck and the blackstone! This is basic setup I’d want minus the loft but my friend’s son loved it up there with the window seat when they came up with the boat for a night out on the lake. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING when they came up nearly full moon finally came up over the trees. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you need to get away from the chaos of life and feel one with nature.

I can’t say enough about our stay. Everything about it was perfect. The property is well appointed and communication with the owner was seamless. Easy access to the marina and the view is excellent.
