Come relax in this stunning 2-story lakefront home with gradual frontage to the pristine waters of Minnehonk Lake in Mt. Vernon, Maine - part of the popular tourist destination of the Belgrade Lakes Region! Situated directly on the peaceful lake, this property has an open concept living room on its upper level that, due to the wall of windows and sliding glass door overlooking the lake, is a natural extension of the waterfront. Just steps away from the upstairs fully stocked modern kitchen and upstairs living area, you and your guests can grill and enjoy a family BBQ seated at the Polywood dining set (seats 6) or sit back with a beverage in hand on the Polywood Adirondack Chairs that rest atop the low-profile composite deck after a day of kayaking, swimming or fishing off the lakeshore dock. Kayaks (2), rods (2) / fishing tackle, life jackets (8), and floats (2) provided.
With 4 bedrooms (2 upstairs [king & double] and 2 at ground level [two twins & queen]) and 2.5 baths, there is plenty of room for up to 8 people. The ground level also offers beautiful views of the lake from its 4 large windows and sliding glass door. The 2-story configuration provides a layer of privacy for that second family, or the kids, to wind down and enjoy board games, the snack nook, and the second living area after a day in the sun, before an evening of s'mores around the campfire. The house is well stocked with linens, utensils, a grill, cooking appliances, cookware, a washer and dryer, and 3 large screen TVs to create a stress-free vacation. Our lakeside home has central air conditioning (Central AC) and is located down a quiet private dirt/gravel road that is a quick ride to town for lunch, an ice cream, supplies and other larger lakes, such as Long Pond, Great Pond and more!
Motorized boating, jet skiing, wonderful fishing, watersports, leaf peeping, ice fishing, hiking, mountain biking and snowmobiling are just a few of the activities you and your companions can enjoy at this location and the surrounding area. Titcomb Mountain is 25 minutes away, offering mountain biking, alpine and cross-country ski trails, too!

We came here for my grandmothers 80th birthday. She had always wanted to come back to Maine after her trip in 2001. We got her here and it was greater than she ever imagined. The place was so clean and so prepared. Everything we needed was ready at the house including towels, floaties, chairs, etc. we were absolutely blown away and can’t way to make another trip at this perfect location!

We had a delightful stay in this beautiful property, enjoying gorgeous views of Lake Minnehonk from the living room, spacious deck, and waterside chairs. The home was very well cleaned, comfortably furnished, and had lots of attractive Maine decor. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances and the living spaces are open and airy. The beds were very comfortable and the extensive space (4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms) allowed us to host an overnight visit with grandkids. The host has thoughtfully included all sorts of extras from beach towels and fishing gear to a well located fire pit. We plan to return for another visit.

This is a beautiful house in the woods right on a very pretty and clean lake! The hostess has everything labeled and everything worked perfectly. The back yard, kayaks and water are just striking and majestic. The kitchen had everything to cook a wonderful family meal! My only regret is we didn't have as much time to spend at the house as we had college graduation to attend ! You will love this place !

This is a family friendly spot that was well furnished and plenty to do. It was really nice that they had fire wood on site ad well as a couple kayaks, and even fishing poles. The road is a nice spot for a walk and in town was fairly close by.

We absolutely loved this home. It was so beautiful and the location was perfect. The home was decorated so nice and it was immaculate. The kids loved the yard space and the lake. It really is great place to enjoy time with your family

Beautiful camp
Has everything you could need for a family vacation, very clean and organized. Kids swam, kayaked and fished every day. Neighborhood is quiet, communication with owner was great. We hope to return!

A Nice Home on a Quiet Lake
We were there in May so we had rain and things were just barely blooming but the house suited us nicely and was right on the lake.

Our stay in Mount Vernon was fantastic! The house was very comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and lots of beach and bath towels. We could have used another kayak or two (there were 8 of us and 2 kayaks) but other than that we wanted for nothing. Would definitely come again!

Beautiful and well equipped home. Floor plan is great with separate downstairs space for families. Great for swimming, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing. Lovely views from both levels of the home.

Very nice house and property. Well maintained and stocked for all of your needs. Maybe black out curtains in the main bedroom to sleep in. The fishing dock and fire pit were great. Definitely recommend.

This house is just like the pictures, except better. Right on the lake, exceptionally clean, and very well stocked. The kitchen has everything a good cook would want or need, and the cookware is in excellent condition. We hope to return!

Lake holiday
We spent about a week at this lovely, peaceful lake house. The house met all our needs. The owner communicated quickly and responsively regarding questions. The weather was beautiful and the loons enchanting. This home met all our expectations for our first Maine lake visit!

This was the perfect place to celebrate our son’s graduation from Colby. The house was spacious for our family and in a beautiful setting on the lake. We loved the fresh, natural decor in the house and appreciated the ease of arrival and departure (Thank you, Janice!) Definitely recommend this place! One note for future travelers—the biting black flies down by the water are relentless—use insect repellent!
