Home away from home

Great place. We were visiting our son and daughter in-law. The place worked out perfect because when they were busy we could hang out and cook and just enjoy the place. Very nice decor and great view! Just was very responsive.

Visiting Son, family and friends. In Mesquite, Dallas, Mckinney and Fort Worth

This place was great! Tiffany went above and beyond and made our stay just perfect! Was exactly as pictured and spotless clean. Short walk to Marina. If in area go to Flying Saucer & Rodeo Goat on the lake! Good food, beer and service! Thanks Tiffany see you next year!

Lovely getaway place near Dallas

Tiffany is an outstanding host. Everything was perfect and we will certainly want to stay at her property again on our next trip to Dallas.The apartment is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We spent 12 days in this cozy apartment while visiting family. Our favorite feature was the view over the lake from the dining table and balcony. We were able to observe pelicans and seagulls and watch the sky change at sunrise and sunset.It is extremely easy to get on the highway to reach any destination in and around Dallas and there are grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants within 10 mn drive. Thank you Tiffany for creating a beautiful cozy home away from home.

We were supposed to check in at 2pm and never received the code to get in as we were told we would so we texted and called the host but could not get a response. We then called VRBO and were on the line for over an hour to find out there were 'legal issues' with the property. They canceled the reservation and we had to find another place for that night which was very tricky. I was driving in a rain storm in tremendous traffic around Dallas at 9pm when I found out I needed to find another place to stay. There were hardly any other options at that point and it was very stressful. I definitely would not recommend this property to anyone because you might end up without a place to stay.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and stress this situation caused during your travels. The circumstances surrounding your reservation resulted from an unexpected legal matter involving the property that required us to permanently cease rental operations. Prior to your arrival, all calendars and future availability were blocked across our booking platforms, and we believed the property had been fully removed from active rental status. Unfortunately, we later learned that reservations made before the closure required a separate manual cancellation process through VRBO. This was never an intentional cancellation, nor would we ever knowingly leave a guest without accommodations. Throughout our years of hosting, we maintained a consistent 4/5-star rating and took great pride in providing reliable, professional service to our guests. We completely understand your frustration, especially given the weather, traffic conditions, and the challenge of finding alternative accommodations on short notice. We are grateful that VRBO was able to provide a full refund for the reservation, but we recognize that this did not eliminate the inconvenience you experienced. We regret that this unusual and unforeseen circumstance impacted your trip and wish you all the best in your future travels- Unavoidable things do happen in life and it’s not always a negative intent. Resolution matters as well. Thank you!

Adequate Apartment for 2

This apartment was as described, except that the amenities were rather skimpy. We were there 9 nights ... not your typical long weekend vacationers. There were 2 bath towels, 2 coffee cups, 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 knives and no cereal bowls. We never used the dishwasher because we needed to handwash 3 times a day. A relative was staying in the same complex for only 2 nights and came over one morning for coffee ... they had to bring their own cups. A full set of flatware and at least 4 of everything in a set of dishes would make a big difference along with 4 bath towels. This is the first time we have been disappointed in a VRBO stay.
