We loved our stay. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Grandkids loved the snacks. Seasoning already on hand we're nice. We fished off the dock and got some nice fish.

Beautiful home, perfect for a quiet getaway but close to Crystal Springs and Homassas. Hosts are helpful and responsive. Would highly recommend staying at the Hideout.

Great stay! Communication with John and Ian were excellent. Place was clean and very well stocked. Really liked the peacefulness and privacy of the property! Definitely wiould stay again.

This was single handedly, the BEST stay our family has had. The house and property were absolutely beautiful. Our hosts, Ian and Jon, were so thoughtful and welcoming. The house was stocked with everything you could think that you might need for a vacation. Highly recommend!

We rented the house knowing we had a little drive about 15 minutes to get to the boat ramp in Crystal river. We were looking for a more secluded stay and this place was perfect. We sat out on the front porch watching the deer in the front yard. Then we took a walk down the boardwalk to the dock where we had a cocktail while we watched the river come to life. True natural Flouida vibes. No we did not use the dock for docking the boats and we did not boat down the river so cant say much on that. I can say Dockside resturant on the other side of the river short drive was amazing. Make a reservation.

I absolutely loved my stay at this house. The location was wonderful, and the house was beautifully maintained and decorated. There were lots of little extras that made us even more comfortable. I have never stayed at a house that was so well stocked

Hideout Heights is a beautiful property! Our family relaxed, fished and loved the solitude away from city life. Our hosts were great and their home was spotless. Hope to return next year.

Perfect house for a relaxing get away

The house is beautiful, well maintained, and fully stocked. The owner communicated with me prior to ensure my stay was perfect. Very quiet place on the river. Best rental house I’ve stayed in!!!

Absolute Perfection!

The house, property, and boat dock were perfect! We enjoyed everything the house had to offer! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen and pantry were stocked, the wildlife was amazing, and the dock was fantastic! We enjoyed every minute! There’s local restaurants to check out, scalloping was a little more than an hour away, and we couldn’t get enough of the wildlife around the house! We already booked again for next year. Thank you Ian for being a wonderful host!

Stay at Hideout Heights

We had a wonderful stay at Hideout Heights. John communicated well and was very responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. The house and property is as shown in the pictures. The house is very comfortable and was stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed seeing all kinds of wildlife, especially the deer that would visit every day. Being on the river was a plus and we would spend time relaxing on the dock or sitting on the screened in porch taking in the view. We spent a lot of time exploring the area and surrounding towns with great restaurants, parks and hiking trails. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great time at Ians house, (despite our having decided to vacation during the coldest week of the year, even in Florida!) This property is quite secluded, private and unique. We loved walking down the winding pier through the cypress knees to the dock situated right on the river. The kitchen is well supplied with all you will need for your comfort. The coffee bar is extravagantly laid out and I even found my favorite sweetener - agave, at the ready. The men enjoyed a great fishing expedition and caught several redfish.Crystal River is nearby; a little enclave with some interesting historic shops and byways to explore. We had a little tip from the owners about a tiny shop that sells ‘adult’ ice cream which is made in the shop. Tasty! In the same shopping center is a restaurant famous for its breakfasts, which we sampled after church on Sunday. The most enchanting moment we had was at 3 Sisters Spring, where we watched the lines of manatees slowly herd their calves further inland to gather into thermally heated crystalline pools.Thank you Ian, for a great getaway.

We had a great time. We had 8 people and 2 boats and 3 vehicles. Plenty of room. We didn’t use the dock so we brought the boats in on trailers. Worked out great. Ramp close by and easy to get to. The house was great. Lots of extra and everything we needed. The two main bedrooms were awesome. Beds were very comfortable. The 3rd room trundle bed was not comfortable so we just used an air mattress. They even had one in the closet. Didn’t feel cramped at all for 8 people. The back porch was great for hanging out and staying out of the bugs. We were very happy here and will be back again for sure.
