Great spot just 2 blocks from the beach and a short drive to cape may or wildwood. Our family had a wonderful time. The sun room is a great place to hang out and be outside without being fully outside. Frank was a wonderful host and provided great recommendations and was very responsive.

We had a wonderful time with our family. Our 3 adult daughters and spouses ( and a grand dog) enjoyed the family time that is difficult to plan to have everyone together. Frank was so responsive. The location was excellent. House was very well appointed. It was so much fun. Thank You Frank and family!

We had a great stay! The house is spacious and well appointed. The porch area was awesome! It has so much space and we ate most of our meals out there. You are truly so close to the beach with amazing sunsets. The kids loved playing in the sand, and we got to see dolphins each day!

The property was very clean and as the photos presented. We were there during the record breaking high temperatures which did prevent us from much use of the screened in porch or outside area. The visibility of the fireworks on July 4th was excellent and the street fair was very close.The kitchen was well stocked as mentioned in other reviews. We were pleased to also see cleaning supplies. The microwave is small but certainly usable.Our host was very responsive, friendly and respectful to our needs. We couldn't have asked more from him.We were thrilled we were so close to the Acme, Dunkin Donuts, Rita's, and Uncle Bill's.The sunset views were just beautiful!

Perfect location a short walk to the beach in a nice quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to Harpoons and a short drive from anything else you could need. Frank was a great host, very responsive.

Beautiful home, close to beach

We enjoyed this house and would definitely stay here again. House was very clean, exactly as described and nicely furnished. The house had a nice porch and is just a short walk to the beach! Owner was very responsive when we had any questions.

This house was probably the best home we have ever rented. Frank and his family truly know the meaning of hospitality. Every little touch you could think of they did! The kitchen is fully stocked with every item you could possibly need. The updated bathroom is simply beautiful.If you need a shore house close enough to everything but far enough to be peaceful, this is the place!!

Girlfriends Weekend

Everything was perfect. House is very nicely decorated and there is plenty of room for everyone. Beds are comfy and house was super clean. It was so close to bay/beach area and we were able to walk to Harpoons for an afternoon drink. Host was great. He responded very quickly and was so friendly. We will definitely be renting here again. We had such a great time.

Barbara was an absolutely joy to Host. We welcome her back anytime! Our home was left clean with no issues. She even took the garbage out. Barbara and her friends cared for our home as if it was their own, she was also easy to communicate with. We look forward to hosting her again soon.

Perfect House - Perfect Location - Perfect Host

Frank was wonderful to deal with. We had a last minute booking and he and his wife went out of their way to set the house up for our arrival that was the same day we booked the house. The house was very clean and beautiful. The extra touches that are provided make you feel like you are in your own home. The kitchen is fully stocked with any item you could think of. The proximity to the beach is perfect. The quiet area is perfect for a relaxing vacation. We would definitely rent this home again!

An Amazing Place with Amazing Host

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our trip to Cape May. The House was perfect. (2) blocks from the beach and walkable to Harpoons by the sea. With a quick drive in the morning were able to go down town for coffee and a walk but were able to leave the crowds and go back to what seemed like out beach. The house had everything we needed so it was easy (chairs, umbrellas, games, etc...) We're already trying to figure out when we can return. Frank thank you for letting use you your house.

Time away

Great location for sunsets and time at the bay. House has wonderful gathering areas in living room, sun room, dining room and patio. Owner is very responsive. Upstairs bath is part of master suite with no alt. access which was not obvious in listing. Kitchen minimally equiped but workable. We really enjoyed this time away.

Lovely home in a very quiet neighborhood two blocks from a fine beach on Delaware Bay and just a few blocks more to a terrific beach bar and restaurant. We enjoyed libations and/or lunches at the numerous local wineries and had fantastic meals at fine restaurants in town - a short Uber/Lyft ride from the house. Our party of five adults fit with room to spare. The kitchen setup was excellent with a full selection of appliances and many thoughtful details. We used almost none of our 'bring along just in case' stuff. We greatly enjoyed the screened in porch both for eating and relaxing. Food and essentials were available at a shopping center just over a mile from the house - perhaps a 4 minute drive. One couple in our party took the ferry from Lewes, DE and the terminal turned out to be within walking distance, so a VERY short drive to the house.All in all, we had a great vacation and found this property to be an ideal launching pad for our stay.And our Golden Retriever loved it as well - many walks on the beach (after Labor Day, so no restrictions) and some up close and personal interaction with local crabs, who easily held their own!

The best part of this home is the location, just 2 blocks from beach. There is a cute ice cream shop (20 min walk), and grocery store (ACME) is close, too. The house has a screened porch, which was cozy even in the cooler weather. The shed has beach toys, chairs and 2 wagons--all great. The kitchen is pretty well stocked--did need to buy a potato peeler (no big deal). Things to note: There is no bathtub! (The VRBO description shows bathtub and shower icons for each bathroom. The text says "bathtub OR shower," which is technically true but would be clearer to say SHOWERS only!) While there are bedspreads in the photos, there are no bedspreads on any beds; I feel like this should be made clearer in the description!. There are 4-5 throws in the house, but not enough for all the beds. Also, the host requested that, if we used these blankets, that we wash them before leaving. That's a lot of work for families trying to get out the door on the last day. We discovered a few broken things that we reported when we left, including a ceiling fan that had become detached from the ceiling at the base and a loose toe trim board on the steps. The lower shower ran out of hot water esp. if someone was using the upstairs bath and/or dishwasher was running. We figured out: run the sink faucet (hot water) concurrently and the shower will get HOT! The hosts were very nice; they did sometimes take over 24 hours to respond to my questions.

Thank you for your feedback. We were happy to accommodate an early check-in request and provide the home at a significantly reduced holiday weekend rate for your stay. The details regarding amenities (linens/bedding, & towels) are clearly outlined in the listing and also restated in our house rules and guest information so that guests can make an informed booking decision. Courtesy blankets and beach towels are provided for guest convenience in the event they did not have their own or need extra. In addition, the listing photos clearly show that all bathrooms are equipped with showers only and do not include tubs. Throughout our interactions, beginning prior to arrival and continuing throughout the stay, communications were often discourteous and demanding in nature and focused on concerns regarding matters that had been clearly disclosed before booking. Despite our prompt responses, accommodations, and efforts to address each issue raised, it became apparent that the home was unlikely to meet this guest's exceptionally high expectations. For example, the ceiling fan referenced in the review was not hanging or unsafe; a decorative ceiling cap had become loose and was promptly corrected once brought to our attention. As a privately owned vacation rental, our home is intended to provide a comfortable and accurately represented guest experience rather than the services and amenities of a luxury hotel. While we respect that guests may have differing expectations, we remain confident that the property was delivered exactly as advertised and that every reasonable effort was made to ensure a positive stay.
