Many of our issues were minor & should have been fixed before our arrival.The title & no shoes in home policy set high expectations we were disappointed. Prior to rental I’d text to confirm easy entry & make sure there were beds & baths on the main floor since we are an aging family w/mobility concerns. The host replied positively so we booked. Upon arrival we found the drive & walk covered in pine needles & the only entry into the home with a handrail unusable - walk to it, steps & rail were overgrown w/weeds. The low battery light was flashing on the entry door’s keypad & the thermostat inside. The air conditioning did not work well, they sent a financial advisor to look at it, he could do nothing but replace the battery. We were uncomfortably hot on the main floor, especially dining at the table. The only hair dryer provided was broken. The upstairs TV remote was taped together with no way to control the volume. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot that held more than 4 cups. The host knew we were an aging family & failed to mention the significantly uneven wood flooring & raised molding thresholds in the doorways when I reached out initially with mobility concerns. I did not appreciate receiving a rental agreement less than an hour before our arrival to sign and return. That should’ve been done prior to booking/payment. The wording was questionable to me & made me feel uneasy, like I was signing away all rights for me and my guests sight unseen.
