This property is all about the spectacular views from virtually every room in the house. The patio, deck space and gardens are beautifully maintained. The house has large living spaces which made for a great place for our family to spend a few nights together. We would gladly stay there again!

We loved our stay. Would love to visit again. Very well kept and clean. The views were spectacular. It was absolutely what we needed. Lovely home with enchanting driveway. Did not disappoint.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here during Thanksgiving—truly a resort experience with its expansive grounds, gorgeous views, and luxurious amenities. And the host was readily available with initial questions. During our stay we ventured to the nearby farm and vineyard for wine tasting. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

What an AMAZING property! We've stayed at dozens of properties on Whidbey Island over the last 10 years, and this one is indeed amazing. The lawn, the deck overlooking the high bank and the west side views are fantastic. There was a family of quail that would cross the stone patio and lawn every night at dusk! The driveway into the house has a magical Middle Earth feel (or perhaps Jurassic Park feel since we rented a Jeep for the long weekend). The kitchen truly was a chef's kitchen, so perfect for large groups or people that enjoy cooking on vacation with friends and family. Wood-burning fireplace in the large living room. Very clean, comfortable beds, very communicative host.

Hearing this from someone who knows Whidbey Island as well as you do means a great deal. Glad the west side views, the deck, and that stretch of lawn lived up to expectations, and the quail crossing at dusk sounds like the kind of detail you only get out there. Love that the driveway gave off a Middle-earth feel, especially with a Jeep in the mix. Good to hear the kitchen served your group well and that the fireplace and comfortable beds rounded things out. We would love to welcome you back anytime.

The outside of the property is beautiful. The view was great. Inside the home could have been a little better. The shower grout needs a good cleaning. Even though the kitchen was huge and had a great view, the equipment was a little lacking-the nonstick skillets needed replaced and the cupboards and drawers could have been better organized. The furnace did not seem to be working, so we were cold. By the time we figured out why we weren't getting any heat, it was almost time to leave the property. Overall, we had a very nice time. It is a beautiful home.

Beautiful location- felt like a fairy woods driving in. Although outdated, the house is lovely. Back view is outstanding. My only complaint is that the outdoor furniture was almost un-useable. It’s weather beaten and splintery wood. I asked if there were cushions to which I was told no. Not a huge deal but for the price I would think better outdoor furniture or at the least cushions could be obtained. Other than that and some dirty kitchen drawers it was nice.

A Beautiful Week at a Beautiful Home

Goldilocks on Whidbey Island could not have been any better. A beautiful place in an exceptionally beautiful setting! The pictures are accurate! If anything, the house is even more beautiful! The island is simply stunning! The Avant team was extremely responsive to our questions & needs. Would not hesitate in staying there again.

Simply Magical!

I invited a group of girlfriends for a weekend away on Whidbey. Goldilocks turned out to be beyond perfect for our needs. The location and view are spectacular. The house is beautiful and incredibly comfortable. It was the perfect setting to relax, cook together, sit by the fire and just soak up the gorgeous nature around us. Highly recommend. We'll be back!

This was an amazing home! From the meandering drive into the forested private road, the home was spectacular. The home took full advantage of the of the Incredible views everywhere. The views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound, the peaceful surroundings Including the bald eagles, and the abundant wildlife right outside the door. The host was very helpful and accommodating. This home was definitely a highlight of our trip. Thank you for sharing.

Breathtaking views and complete solitude

The grounds and home are beautiful! The stay was just what we needed. Beds were comfy and lounging furniture were perfect. Great kitchen and eating area. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.
