Beautiful Location

We had a great time in Berlin. This property is perfectly located. The communication with the host was very easy. The unit is well equipped and we enjoyed having 2 bathrooms. Thank you

Location positive with glitches

Location was perfect for us. The flat was bigger than expected. However, the Wifi didn’t work and host was unable to fix it. Here’s a few considerations for host (and guests): provide paper towels on the holder, add nonslip mat for the shower. Change and or clean the shower curtain and check to see if installed dispensers are restocked (shampoo & soap) and that the garbage from previous guest is emptied.

Good location but that’s it

The apartment is in a great location, right next to a bunch of restaurants, U Bahn Station and Tram stations. We also appreciated washing machine. Downsides: NO INTERNET. We were planning on working during the week while kids were in summer camp. But there was no internet even though it advertised so. We reset the router a few times and it said “no internet service”. Clearly the owner is not paying for internet service. We tried text message, email and WhatsApp to contact the property manager about the issue, no response. We ended up over night a WiFi hotspot for the week, costing us €120 so we could work. Then lack of privacy. All the windows face a court yard where other people’s windows also face. We couldn’t shut the window because it was too hot and there was no AC. We were very self conscious living there when we should be able to relax. The floor was also quite dirty. I had never seen our socks so black at the end of the night. Even the washing machine couldn’t clean them. I just hand washed all our socks every night. It was a chore. The sofa in the living room was so old that we could feel the metal springs under the thin fabric. Finally the bedding was disappointing. The bedsheet barely covered the bed. Every morning the bed sheet was untucked and the we woke up on the old and dirty mattress. The pillow covers were way too small for the pillows and the pillows had dark stains on them, not sure if it was blood or soy sauce. We will not return.

It has potential

The layout of the flat is good and it's in a great spot for using public transportation. We only had to do one transfer to get their from the airport and the subway station is on the same corner. Unfortunately the unit has not been kept up as well as it shows in the photos. The floor was well swept but I'm guessing it had not been scrubbed in a long time because it turned out feet and socks brown. They asked us not to wear our shoes in the unit and we followed those rules but it would have been nice if they had a cleaner floor, or at least left a mop or rags so we could clean it ourselves. The couch is dirty looking as well and it's so worn that you can see and feel the springs in the cushions. The Internet also never worked.

Quite the DDR experience

We got a real taste for what it may have felt like in the DDR days: strict rules; failing infrastructure; hollow promises; dated, spartan furnishings; etc, etc. It began with communication issues. When we didn't receive check-in instructions when promised, we eventually reached the property manager via email. All subsequent communications were by email instead of through VRBO. And each message contained the harsh reminders: no check in before 16:00 and be out by 10 or risk a fine. While the appliances and windows of the flat were in good shape, what little furniture there is is quite dated, worn out, and uncomfortable. We discovered that the kitchen table was so wobbly because one leg was not actually attached to the top. But being good resourceful comrades, we managed to repair that issue. We also re-established the missing wifi by locating and rebooting the router. But that was for naught as there was no internet service. We reported that problem immediately and the property manager assured us that the issue had been forwarded to the proper authorities. But, despite several messages, we had no internet in the apartment during our entire 5 day stay. No internet meant no TV. But, no worries. We much preferred exploring the many bars and restaurants in the neighborhood than sitting on the odd, uncomfortable, bed sized sofa anyway. Shame on us for not translating the previous review which mentioned some of the issues. We'll be staying elsewhere with our next visit to Berlin.

Logement propre et spacieux, bien situé, environnement pas très propre

Logement bien situé dans une cour à proximité du tram et métro, dans un quartier animé. Cour et escalier pas très propres. Equipement minimum (4 chaises, pas de rangement dans une des chambres, canapé inutilisable pour s'assoir confortablement). Eclairage des pièces très insuffisant. Lits un peu trop mous En résume, logement largement surévalué

Nice area and amazing weekend but…

The location of the flat is really cool, super central Easy to access the flat with the information But, and I am really sorry to underline that the flat was really dirty. We found dirty socks down the bed, and it was all dirty.. the table of the living room is about to fall…bad smells in the bathroom Despite those points, and because we stayed outside all time, we had a really nice weekend in Berlin with friends !!!

Prima locatie in Berlijn.

De locatie is uitstekend, veel is te voet te bereiken en de afstand tot het metrostation is 1 minuut. Alles is aanwezig in het appartement maar het is allemaal wel erg gedateerd. Douchegordijn is erg vies en de hoofdkussens op het bed zijn waardeloos. Als het appartement een flinke opknapbeurt zou krijgen en nieuwe meubels dan zou het een topappartement zijn. In de buurt voldoende winkels voor de dagelijkse boodschappen en ook veel restaurants/cafés.
