I wish there was the ability to give a ten star rating to The Ranch at Red Oak!The property is beyond beautiful. Great views of the barn and the lake from the back patio. Home decor made you feel warm and welcomed, and the artwork was spectacular. On top of it all was a fantastic tour of the barn where we really enjoyed feeding the horses. It felt more like a long weekend at a friend’s home instead of a VRBO. All communication was timely and every single question answered.Thank you!

Everything was amazing. This was a great spot for us to meet and have a relaxing retreat. Close enough to the city for some shopping and dinner but on amazing property that offered great views and walks. Would highly recommend and would love to come back in the future.

Beautiful and comfortable space to spend time with family. We enjoyed learning about the horses on property and looking at the beautiful art in the home. Well curated but still functional. An inspiring and relaxing space.

Exceptional EXPERIENCE!

What a wonderful stay we had at The Ranch at Red Oak. From booking to checkout everything was absolutely top notch. The hosts were great communicators, and very professional. Not only is The Ranch in a spectacular setting, it is peaceful, sooo relaxing, spacious, fun, and very comfortable. Our family of 7 was very well taken care of! Thank you for a great experience!!

Our stay at The Tanch was nothing but perfection! The property is beautifully well maintained and left us feeling relaxed and comfortable. We were in the area for our son's wedding. This place provided a perfect place to decompress, relax, and host family and friend from out of town. Our tour of the barn was amazing and the horses were just beautiful! We enjoyed every aspect of this place from the ability to grill a great steak on the terrace to taking a trail walk in the early morning. To enjoying watching the horses run as we had a glass of wine on the front porch! The space provided a wonderful atmosphere to entertain and the hosts Janet and her sister made it easy and were very accommodating to us. I would stay here again in a second if we're are back in the area. Our family raved about how beautiful and relaxing the property was and how much we're truly enjoyed it. Thank you Redmond Family!

Amazing property

We attended a wedding at Running Mare wedding venue. This home is perfect,! I rented this home for the 2 Master bedrooms on the main floor because we were traveling with my 90 yr. old mother. She had her own room and bathroom. This home has so many luxury upgrades. We booked a time for a stable tour and enjoyed meeting the horses and barn manager. Looking out the picture perfect kitchen window to see the horses laying in the sun and cantering thru the fields. I would definitely rent this property again.

Amazing Experience at the Ranch!!!

Where to begin, there are so many wonderful things about this home. We came in town for a wedding and were lucky to be able to find this amazing home to stay at with our family. The home itself is truly five stars, completely updated and they have everything you will ever need. Janet and her family own the property, but you have the house and most of the property to yourself. They have horses and allowed us to book a time to go see them and feed them carrots! This was no extra cost and just part of the stay! They have a nice hot tub, not to mention other amenties in the house (fooseball table, poker table, etc.). They have trails behind their home, great for morning walks as well as a pond to go fishing. They have several seating areas outside to enjoy the weather, and there were fireflies this time of year (May) in their backyard! Overall I never stayed at a more perfect place when traveling, this exceeded our expectations! Cant wait to go back to the Ranch!

Heaven in Powhatan!

We have family in Powhatan and were down for the 4th holiday. In lieu of getting a bunch of hotel rooms we found Janet's Farm. What a score! From the moment you drive through the entrance to "The Ranch" you know you're at someplace special. The views are amazing with a spectacular layout. We were so impressed with the amount of space in both the land and home and the attention to detail in the landscaping and interior design was flawless. We had a ball exploring all over the 80 acres of pasture land, post and beam fencing, lake, and horse barn. Nice to have the horses roaming around at dusk as well as it makes you feel like you're at a real working ranch.Janet and her sister couldn't have been more gracious hosts and we were lacking nothing! Every detail is covered and you feel like estate owners for your stay! The place is immaculate with multiple rooms and patios to gather and just relax, chat, or meditate. The bedrooms were amazing with each meticulously done. My wife and I had the best sleep ever! And if fishing is your thing a full stocked lake of bass, crappies, bream, and I'm sure others are there for the taking. The lake comes alive around sunset with sights and sounds you won't find many other places. You need to experience it to fully understand the magic. Made me want to move as soon as we got there! Thanks go to their family for opening up such and incredible place to us travelers and look forward to our next VA trip.
