L’Amour Rock is situated on the very edge of Lookout Mountain, just 5 miles from downtown Mentone. If tranquility, inspiration and amazing views is what you seek, you’ll find all of that and more! With floor to ceiling windows providing 180 degree views of the valley below, you’ll feel like you’re in the clouds.
The open kitchen provides everything you need including new refrigerator, stove and microwave. L’Amour Rock also has a dishwasher and Keurig coffee maker. Open living room offers aww inspiring views from the roomy sectional plus a flat screen smart TV with WiFI for your favorite streaming. The bedroom features a King bed with cozy linens and woodland views that’ll have you wanting to sleep-in just a little longer! L’Amour Rock also offers a dedicated office space that is perfect for work stays or a writers retreat. The huge cozy chair in the office is perfect for curling up with a good book or for an afternoon nap. We also have an easel if you’re inspired to paint during your stay!
Because of its close proximity to the brow’s edge, this property is not suitable for children.

Beautiful views and comfy rental for a couple.

This pedestal home in Mentone, AL is truly special and perfectly situated on the brow with breathtaking, ever-changing views. It was the ideal spot for us to celebrate our 22nd anniversary with some much-needed relaxation. We cooked a few meals and found the kitchen clean, organized, and well-equipped. The location feels wonderfully remote and peaceful, and we loved how quiet it was. The fall décor around the cabin was festive and charming, adding a cozy touch. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided—especially the clearly labeled remotes! The stunning views elevated our stay from simply good to truly wonderful and memorable.

Another wonderful stay!

It is just so serene out there at L'Amour. Coffee, Book, Relax till the sun sets. Wonderful temperatures in early September, nice balance. Skip the big grocery store and head to Mentone's markets for excellent food for your stay (it was a game changer for us this year!). We can't wait to come back!

Great place for honeymoons and anniversaries. Beautiful views, different in so many ways. The last 2 miles of road were horrible.

The view was lovely, and the house was well appointed. However, the house stayed hot even with air-conditioning and fans. We had to close all the blinds to try to stay cool, and then we had no view. The temps in the afternoon reached the high 70's inside, and if you cook too. Wow! HOT! Also, we felt that the bed was way too high. It was difficult to get in and out of. Otherwise it was comfortable.

The views were absolutely breathtaking—truly picture-perfect—and the location was ideal, with several beautiful hiking trails nearby. Mentone itself is a charming, peaceful little town that made our stay even more special. We absolutely loved every moment of our visit!

Our stay was both restful and beautiful!

Every moment at L'Amour Rock was comfortable and enjoyable. It was a magnificent time away from the hurry and stress of life. Whether we were sitting inside and looking out the wrap-around windows or outside on the deck or in the porch swing, we were surrounded by the beauty of God's creation. We would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, comfortable place to vacation.

Unique & Cozy

My husband and I stayed here for my 50th birthday. Everything about this beautiful place is PERFECT!! I love to stay at unique places and this was definitely that. The views EVERY single day were amazing. The sunsets were epic. I hope we get to return sometime in the future.

Great place to stay!

A warm and quiet place and I can’t use more words to describe it. I experienced 3 different weather situations here. It’s amazing. Here was very clean and had a plenty enough spaces to make fun with pets. I also worked a little bit here. I love the office room section. Working in a wonderful view of the mountains. Strongly recommend it to everyone.

Romantic Getaway

Love this cabin! So cozy and with such beautiful views. We were very comfortable in every way. Whether you're staying in or going out, the location was great. Loved the little fall decoration touches in the cabin too! Neat and clean, furnishings were well appointed. Highly recommend this lovely getaway.

View for miles!

It was a great place to chill out! Pretty ingenious layout and all the comforts you may need. Great little kitchen to cook in with everything I needed and even a coffee bar! But let's be serious - the deck and the views is why you should definitely book this spot! The grounds outside are also really nice, with other spots to sit and take in the sunrise or sunset. I felt super safe on my own.

Perfect Getaway

The cabin is cute. The view was unbelievable. We brought our little pup - I kept her on a leash because you are on the side of a cliff and it would have been a devastating fall for her. That being said we never felt unsafe at all. The cabin had all the basic cooking supplies for cooking and grilling. The local eateries (Wildflower Cafe and Elevation Bistro) were exceptional, the little Mentone Market is a tiny grocery but I would recommend bringing in any needed groceries. The owner was very responsive with questions. We had no problems at all with our stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Excellent House with an Amazing View!!!

The house was wonderful. Just what we were hoping for. Perfect size and open floor plan to make for a welcoming weekend getaway. The view and the deck are phenomenal and you'll want to be at home for every sunset. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend in the mountains.

Incredible sunsets

The birds eyes view of the panoramic vista was amazing for evening porch sitting . The surrounding windows was the game changer for the heat of the day viewing. As a moon watcher, the direction and timing was off to see it full because of the trees but the beautiful sunsets compensated for the disappointment. Mentone and neighboring towns are quaintly and charming to visit. Because of commercialism, the Smoky Mountains has lost those characteristics. Holly was friendly and fast assisting with the WiFi password problem. Highly recommend but also want to keep it our little secret get away. Loved the seclusion.

Privacy with a View

We decided to ‘splurge’ on this particular weekend rental for the view and the privacy the lot provided from other cabins. The view did not disappoint! There isn’t much tree cover, so the swing below the deck was great for hanging outside during the day. We enjoyed the wall-sized windows throughout, especially while cooking. The space was well equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and the furniture was very comfortable. We’d stay here or at another Delightful Retreats property again!
