Fall asleep to the sound of the rushing brook in this beautifully restored, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath log home. The cabin sits in the middle of three wooded acres overlooking Catlin Brook as it cascades through the gorge below. It seems like wilderness, yet all the amenities of Harwinton are just a few minutes away. The recently remodeled cabin includes a fully stocked kitchen with quartz countertops, laundry room with gas dryer, forced-air heating and AC, an office space with a guest computer and high-speed internet, super comfy Italian leather couch with a Roku TV, and even a Yamaha piano.

We shared this cozy cabin with another couple for two nights while attending a local event,and the location was perfect for our needs. There is a lot to like about this home, but the most outstanding feature is the fact that it feels like an oasis in the wilderness when in fact, "civilization" is practically at your doorstep and just one turn off the main road so there are plenty of dining minutes away. Also notable, is the fact that this quaint cabin has been updated with modern technology for streaming TV, wifi and electrical outlets that did not blow a fuse when I plugged in my hair dryer! Beds were very comfortable and the porch was lovely. In short, a perfect combination of rustic and modern. I highly recommend it for a short or long stay.

Cabin was clean, cozy, and well stocked with everything to make our stay enjoyable. The location of the cabin was very peaceful and surrounded by nature. Evan was easy to communicate with and made the whole process seemless.

It suited our needs perfectly. Peaceful, clean, well stocked, comfortable beds and couch. Fireplace was a relaxing, cozy touch. Host saw to our every need.

If I could leave more than five stars I would! The house is charming and very relaxing - listening to the brook was the best. The care taken to make sure we had everything we would need was evident. Lastly, the house is SPOTLESS!Thank you for a wonderful girls weekend!

The cabin is awesome! It’s a great mixture of mountain solitude with great restaurants and things to do with in a 5-15 mins drive.

Perfect Spot!

Some old friends and I had an incredible time at this cabin for our retreat from the world. The atmosphere of the property was excellent, and the cabin was clean and well appointed. We'll definitely be back soon!

Quiet & Cozy

The house was amazing and to sit and listen to the creeks have coffee in the morning, was worth the trip. The Sheets and Towels were great. We will definitely be back.

It was a wonderful getaway and conveniently close to home.

The trip was amazing . The cabin was super clean and being in the woods with the river flowing right behind us , it was a wonderful escape . Can’t recommend it enough

Wedding getaway

This property was a perfect place for our family and my daughter to get ready for her wedding. It was a beautiful space to take pictures on her special day. The new couple loved having a place to come to after the wedding. It was comfortable and peaceful.

Perfect New England Getaway

We had an amazing stay at the cabin. Very clean and welcoming, easy check in. The only issue was using the television. We had to reset it so it would stop rebooting.
