Enjoy a private waterfront experience in the DownEast. Located in a quaint little fishing village, this Jonesport Oceanfront cottage offers direct access to a private beach on Moosabec Reach. Sit back and enjoy listening to the relaxing sounds of the ocean, watching local fishermen as they haul their lobster traps, and enjoy the spectacular horizon sunrise and sunsets. Across the reach, you can visit Beals Island the homeland of National Folklore legend Tall Barney Beal. Stop by Beals Heritage Center to learn just how tall and strong he was. Also the Nature's Conservancy has a 5 mile hike located through the woods, at the end of Great Wass Island. Travel an hour east where you can visit West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec America. Watch the lobstermen boating to work each morning while sipping coffee from your deck. Day trips to Acadia Nat’l Park, Bar Harbor, Lubec (the most eastern point in the US), and FDR’s Campabello Island are just a short drive away. Bring a furry friend as the cottage is also a dogs’ paradise.

Fantastic location, right on the beach, very quiet. The house configuration was good. One bedroom and bath on first floor and two bedrooms and a shared bathroom on the second floor. Loved watching the lobster boats coming and going out to sea.

We just spent two weeks at this beautiful property with an amazing view. The beds were very warm and comfortable. The accommodations were as noted and perfect! Supplied us with enough toilet paper and paper towels, and trash bags and laundry detergent and dishwashing pods linens were of excellent quality heated floor in the downstairs bathroom was a nice surprise. This was our second time staying at this property book it, and you won’t be disappointed.

Just the perfect cottage, right on the ocean, with a walkable beach out front. Every morning, I would walk the dog (you could go as far as 3/4 mi, for a 1 1/2 mi roundtrip), then would come back & make breakfast. We were blessed with perfect weather all week, so we sat out on the deck most days for both breakfast & cocktail hour! Full-length windows/sliding doors covered 3 walls of the livingroom, so many hours were spent watching the sun glisten off the water, as the lobster boats made their way in & out of the harbor. The cottage was sparkling clean & fully-stocked with supplies, as well as pots, pans, glassware, etc. The mattress was very comfortable. There was a full-sized washer & dryer. We found a nice wooded walk on Beals Island that was almost fairy-like, with its pine trees & moss. You need to drive about 1/2 hour to find some finer restaurants, but if you like to cook, you would barely need to leave the cottage. Perfect spot to curl up with a glass of wine & a good book or to see the most stunning sunsets! The people I met were very friendly. Be sure to check out the Fisherman's Pottery gift shop on Beals Island, run by Jennifer & her Dad.

Excellent cottage for families. The location was perfect and was very quiet. We had awesome views of sunrises and sunsets. Everything we needed to make our stay memorable was at hand. The beach was easily accessible. We found a lot of treasures.

Lovely Stay!

The house is light and bright with gorgeous water views. The town has few amenities, but this is the place to come if you want to get away from it all.

Anniversary trip

Absolutely beautiful location! Home was spotless and cozy. Enjoyed listening to the lobster boats leave each morning. So relaxing and peaceful.

As soon as you walk through the door, every ounce of stress disappears. From the ocean view out every window to the lobster boats coming in and out of the bay, there couldn't be a more ideal location. House is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing Views

Amazing location and views allowing for some rest and relaxation in the quiet coastal town of Jonesport. We loved sitting on the porch watching the lobster boats pass by and exploring for treasures along the beach. Great spot - we hope to be back.

Perfect Fall beach destination

Loved everything. Comfy beds, great kitchen, plenty of seating for family. Location was perfect as well. Wrap around deck had the best views of the ocean. It was exactly what we hoped for

Fantastic Week on the Ocean

Best family vacation we have had. House was stunning with views of the ocean and islands throughout the main living room. Wrap around porch gave all the views you could ever want. Seals, loons and lobster boats a plenty. Could not have asked for a better place to stay on this wonderful family vacation.

Perfect Downeast Cottage

The cottage by the seas is amazing. Amazing location and proximity to the beach. House was very clean and well equipped with almost everything to make our stay perfect. Only two recommendations for future enhancements, the house is advertised for 6 people but dining area only seats four and, it would be awesome to have an outside dining area.

Gorgeous location

A great location on the Maine coast. Private beach and 180 views. Watching the lobster boats going and returning was so interesting. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. Definitely would like to return.

We've stayed in many rentals, and this was by far our favorite! It really is an amazing property with an amazing view, as advertised! The house is very comfortable, and very well equipped. The (5) of us all said that our stay here was truly a highlight of the summer. We had to force ourselves to leave the house to explore the area- didn't want to leave the deck! And our dogs loved playing on the quiet beach. All in all quite heavenly!
