Camp Belle Haven - Private waterfront retreat for the family.

Looking for a vacation rental alternative to Cape Charles and Chincoteague? Welcome to Camp Belle Haven. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful waterfront getaway. The owners are opening camp to non-family campers. Enjoy assorted water activities at this private residence with only two other houses on the private road. Close enough to enjoy daytrips to Cape Charles or Chincoteague. Enjoy the charming towns then escape the crowds to your private retreat.

A canoe and kayaks are available for guests to use after signing a waiver. There are many life vests provided for your safety enjoying water activities off the private pier. Bring your boat and keep it at the dock or under the shelter when not putting in at Morley's Wharf. Low-tide depth is 2 feet.

Camp Belle Haven is a four bedroom ranch with three full baths, including an en-suite in the back bedroom with one of the kings. There are two rooms with two twins and two with queens. A full is in the hallway near the bedrooms, the other is near the entrance.

We require the rental agreement to be completed and returned.

Please note, this property does not allow pets but that does not mean it is pet free. Be aware this may not be the right property for you if you have severe allergies.

I was very impressed with the property. It was everything that was advertised. It was close to where my daughter lived, which was very important to me. The next time I visit her I would surely like to rent this place again!

Great private get-away

Stayed here with my parents, husband, and adult children - we had a family wedding nearby. Fantastic location and great, comfortable house with lots of gathering places - we thoroughly enjoyed the 3 season room, and my adult children took advantage of the dock and kayak! The property manager allowed us to bring our dog with us (for a pet fee) which was greatly appreciated!

A large rancher on the water was a good option for our adult kids and grandkids when they visited us. They reported it was clean and roomy and met their basic needs. We experienced two preexisting maintenance issues that we reported to the mgmt. company. Also, the neighbor has a dog that leaves their property and intimidated our family members. For these reasons we dropped a star from our rating.

Thank you for reporting the smell in the master bathroom and finding the bottlecap in the disposal. We have not noticed a smell before or since but are keeping a nose out. The disposal was replaced before the next guests arrived. I wish you had also let us know about the dog, too. Neither the owners nor myself have seen the dog loose before. The owner will be discussing it with the neighbor.

Fun On The Water

Beautiful location and owners provided everything needed to enjoy it. The water craft and fishing equipment were well kept with life jackets to fit all. Having bug spray available made it so we could go out and enjoy the outdoors. Check in was easy, and the space worked for us with three adults, three teens, and one younger (we did bring an extra air mattress to facilitate with that many big kids). We drove up to Chincoteague for one day and enjoyed the rental the other.

The house was great. It was very spacious! Internet was fine too. There were lots of outside bugs so be prepared. We used hand lines for crabbing. We had a nice quiet family vacation.
