Nice place out on the Eastern Shore! Loved being on the water and catching crabs. The pup liked being able to chase her ball and meet new animals (crabs, big shore birds). There are also deer, rabbits and foxes so if you have a "chaser" make sure to keep them on a leash. Close to beaches and parks, one with a dog beach.

We had a great time fishing and exploring the Eastern Shore and Virginia Beach. The cabin was beautiful and secluded. We really enjoyed sitting on the dock and fishing every evening. There were plenty of deer, bunnies, birds, and crabs to keep us company. Our dog loved playing frisbee and taking walks in the evening. There are lots of fun things to do in the area if you love the outdoors. If you don't mind a little longer drive, Virginia Beach is a great day trip with lots of nice beaches.

Thank you so much for your stay at my home. I hope you enjoyed the stars at night along with a full moon. Maybe next time you'll be able to enjoy a rocket launch from NASA at Wallops Island. I also hope you enjoyed the abundant FREE supply of Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs. I work hard so you can have memories of a Magical Place look forward to you returning.

Overall, the description of the property was fairly accurate, but the grass needed to be cut.Unfortunately, we encountered several significant issues during our stay:  - Insects: There was a severe fly issue (like horseflies) swarming in the area that made being outdoors very uncomfortable.  Even with bug spray, and they bothered our dog as well. We could only stay on the screened porch if we kept a fan running directly on us.  - HVAC / Temperature: The HVAC system was turned off prior to our check-in, and it took nearly 24 hours to cool the house down to only 76 degrees. This was only achieved because of cooler, overcast weather and by running four fans on full blast, which created enough noise to make conversation and watching TV difficult. Due to the heat, we could barely sleep the first night, and on the second night, we opted to sleep on separate couches downstairs because upstairs was still very warm.  - Water Access: Wading into the water to use the kayaks was difficult due to the shallow, muddy bottom, which stirred up a foul odor. We were able to do some fishing off the pier and utlize the crab pots.Ultimately, this was not the getaway we had hoped for, and we decided to check out a day early.

Wonderful property

Rockin rando was a awesome hoast very accommodating and was always available to answer any questions we had. The property was beautiful and the house was very cozy if you like fishing and crabbing this is your spot you will catch dinner. My little family had a awesome time and are booking again next summer.

Good place to stay

The only thing I could say that isn’t positive is that it doesn’t sleep 6 comfortably or with privacy. Randy was a great host and its a beautiful location.

Thanks Ken for the nice review. You must have missed that not only do I have 2 queen size beds upstairs that sleeps 4 comfortably I also have the 2 fold out sofa's that sleep 2 each comfortably. I'm not understanding your comment. The sleeping quarters have been explained in detail how the rooms are laid out in the description section of my ad. Great bay location

Great location right on the water. Access to kayaks and canoes was a great addition to this booking. Nice dock m and good for crabbing and fishing. Randy was also easily available to answer questions

Beautifully Relaxing stay

Perfect to get away from it all. Nice house with everything needed for stay plus many antiques as decorations. Beautiful Bay views and equipment for all types of activities. Randy is a very accommodating host! We had an amazing time.

Great cabin on the Bay!

Randy’s place is such a unique cabin with a ton of character! He was very communicative with us prior to the trip to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The location was perfect. Completely private with your own oyster bar at every low tide. We spent two nights but will be back for sure!

Relaxing retreat

The property was secluded and relaxing. If you wanted to be active, there are opportunities on the water, or on the land. Great place to relax and enjoy nature. The house is full of interesting collectibles. The host was very helpful and attentive to guest needs.

Secluded Getaway

Had a great time at this house. Secluded area, very quiet, plenty of space to let the dog roam around. Very nice patio and screened in porch looking out at the water. Owner was very responsive and helpful. We would book this trip again.

Very peaceful and relaxing environment

This was a lovely location tucked away from everything and we found it very peaceful. Having kayaks, a canoe as well as two bicycles was a real plus. The pier was a nice place to hang out. The outside shower was another lovely feature! The owner, Randy is very accessible!

Quiet and relaxing week

We caught plenty of crabs off the dock. The fish gave us the slip. Everyone we met in the area was super nice. It is a great place to leave the hustle and bustle behind.

Crabbing

We enjoyed setting out the crab pots and catching 6 keepers. We enjoyed the chance to take our boat from Va beach right to the dock.
