Quiet cabin in the Laurel Highlands with all of the comforts of home. Easy parking and accessibility. One Level, complete kitchen setup, spacious dining/living rooms, WiFi, and Roku. Near Ohiopyle State Park (kayak, biking, hiking, fishing), Nemacolin Resort, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater/Kentuck Knob. A beautiful cabin nestled in the Laurel Highlands right in the heart of the Nemacolin resort. Excellent location and close to near all the nearby activities. A wonderful place to stay.

I cannot say enough about how great this property was and the communication with Mary was amazing. Me and my two college age kids stayed here and it is a perfect location for all the things we wanted to see and do, caverns, Frank Lloyd Wright houses, waterfalls, etc. We highly recommend this property! Extremely spacious, comfortable living room to lounge in, board games to have fun and bond with and all the necessities you need in the kitchen and not to mention bonfire at night was amazing

My husband, parents, and I had a really nice stay at the Cabin! The place was clean and very comfortable, and it had a cute retro vibe that fit in with a lot of the cool architecture things happening in the area! We had more planned during our stay, but due to a bad headache, we ended up just relaxing at the house and enjoying each other's company. We had plenty of space and tools in the kitchen to make dinner and plenty of space at the dining room table for family game night. And the house is located nearby to tons of things to do. Including a cute super convenient market just across the street! We would def stay again, and I recommend it for you too!

This was a beautiful property, nestled privately back in the woods off the main road. Very clean, had everything we needed also.

Excellent! House was exceptionally clean!!! Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with good quality kitchen items and everything needed to make a meal (besides the food of course). The host even had chips and salsa for us upon check in which was a nice touch. Neighborhood market is just at the end of the driveway and across the street. House is located close to Ohiopyle State Park. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Lovely cabin 3 bedroom house really. Very Clean. Kitchen fully equipped. Stocked with games books and puzzles. Quiet neighborhood!! Nightlights!

Patience and her family were great guest to host. Clean and respectful of the property. Would recommend her to any host. And love to have Patience on a return stay to see more of the area. With much history like Fort Necessity, 10 mins. away, and more, with culture, like 3 Frank Loyd Wright homes, and more to explore ten minutes away at Ohiopyle State Park. Fern Rock Cabin

We had a fantastic time in a lovely spot. Mary, thank you for helping us make that happen. We'd love to make it an annual trip. I highly recommend that others consider this idyllic spot in the Laurel Highlands.

Fern Rock Rocks!

Our stay was perfect! The beds were comfortable. The lion roars were exciting. Close to roads, so no need for 4 wheeler. Everything we needed was right there😊

Hunting trip

We stayed for 4 days during Bear Season. The location is perfect. So many things and places to see in the area. Great restaurants close by. The cabin itself was spotless. We actually stayed at camp more than venturing out in the mountains. We will book every year from now on !!!

Peaceful cabin in the woods

The property was very nice. There are many State and National parks in the area. It is a very outdoorsy area. Also , there is a lot of pre-Revolutionary War history in the area. Also white water rafting and kayaking. We had a great time.

Excellent experience

The owners very clearly care about the house and the guests. This has not been our usual experience as property owners are typically absent and just looking at profit. So THANK YOU Mary and family for such a lovely place. We found that the place was actually bigger than it appeared in the photos. The kitchen and dining room area were huge and the living room was also pretty big. Furnishings were nice and the whole house was well stocked, not just in the kitchen but little things like tissues and hand sanitizer were helpful. Linens were nice, outdoor space was cool to explore, and the location was convenient to Ohiopyle but also in the other direction, Fort Necessity and Laurel Caverns.Overall a wonderful stay!

Great Place to Stay in the Laurel Highlands

Fern Rock Cabin was an excellent choice for our one week stay in the Farmington/Ohiopyle area. The cabin was clean, kitchen items were numerous, rooms are spacious and furniture was comfortable. I would highly recommend the cabin for anyone or group who enjoys the outdoors and needs a relaxing place to kick back after a long day exploring. Just a short drive from the cabin are numerous waterfalls, hiking trails Ohiopyle State Park, Bear Rock Preserve, Quebec Run Wild area part of Forbes State Forest, GAP rail trail, rafting outfitters, Laurel Caverns, restored Wharton Furnace, National Parks Fort Necessity and Friendship Hill, Fallingwater/Kentuck Knob, etc.Mary was a great concerned host and made sure we had a great place to stay. She recommended restaurants in the area, back way to drive to Ohiopyle and even apologized for not being able to mow the lawn because of stormy weather the previous week. Never had such a wonderful host in all of our previous vacation rentals.

Loved this cabin! Plenty of space. Had everything we needed! One night the power went out, host contacted us to make sure everything was OK! Would definitely stay here again!
