It was a cute 1920's log cabin, located in the country on a lake, but just a few miles from town. The hosts were extremely accommodating to our needs. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Gaylord, MI.

Perfect getaway for the 5 of us. Couldn't get the grandsons away from the water, fishing & boating. The place reminds me of a hunters retreat, nothing fancy but clean. Rustic & real. The hosts were the best you could want.

I’m probably a bit more picky than most guests , but nothing felt like it was really clean probably due to the fact it was really old and worn out , and there is no real light in the kitchen . The refrigerator was clean on the inside and microwave but I don’t believe the floors had been mopped especially the bathroom . We bring all our own bedding and I’m glad I did , we stayed in the room with the king bed and the blanket on it clearly had not been washed . The host was very nice and accommodating , but I think things should have been more tidy .

We loved our stay. I loved the views. My kids spent every day in the lake with the neighbor girl. 🥰 Their new best friend. I enjoyed wine and my book every evening on the porch. My husband enjoyed kayaking and fishing. Fantastic weather. The bugs are bad but bring your bug spray. Wonderful vacation

We had an absolutely amazing stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway! The cabin was spotless when we arrived, and the beds were so comfortable that everyone slept great. One of my favorite things was they had a rocking chair and I got to enjoy the view while rocking my youngest and saying "we truly needed this".The location was perfect. The private lake behind the cabin was one of our favorite parts of the trip. The fishing was incredible—we caught some of the biggest fish we've ever caught! There are also miles of nearby trails to explore, making it easy to enjoy the outdoors.If you're expecting a cabin that's completely isolated, just know there are two other homes nearby—but they're the owners' homes. They are incredibly respectful of your privacy and never bothered us. We still felt like we had our own private retreat, while knowing help was close by if we needed anything. It was the best of both worlds.The cabin is also in a fantastic location for day trips. We visited Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, the Mackinac Bridge, and Castle Rock, all within about an hour to an hour and a half . Gaylord is also close by and has plenty of great restaurants, so there was always something fun to do.When we asked our kids to rate the vacation, every one of them gave it a 10 out of 10! It was the perfect place to reconnect as a family, get outside, unplug from electronics, and make memories we'll always cherish. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed there for 2 nights. The back room had many mini holes in the ceiling. The room was cold;Kids found spiders on bed; mice poop in the drawers; kitchen was so unorganized. There were limited areas for dogs going out potty.

The mouse poop was my fault. I eradicated all the mice before guests arrived, but I forgot to check one cupboard for droppings. I am sorry that put a damper on your visit.

Great place to stay and enjoy some fishing!!!

Fishing was decent given the weather we had(very windy). Great vibes all around, cabin was nice and spacious, Rokkos brother TJ was a great guy and a big help with any questions.

Layout of cabin was nice, bed comfortable. Fireplace was disappointing could not use !!Grill outside not clean and there should have been life jackets for the boats. Owner very friendly

I'm sorry I had to leave early to visit my brother in the hospital, so I was not there to tell you where the life jackets are kept or help you with the fireplace. But I'm glad you had a nice stay otherwise.

Quite and Peaceful

Perfect stay at a great cabin. Nights were quiet and peaceful. Lake view off the back porch was relaxing. Rocco and TJ were perfect hosts Look forward to our next stay.

rustic cabin in nature

Our stay was both really peaceful and invigorating to be immersed in so much nature. I loved the hiking trails on the property and rowing on the lake. The local area has a lot of outdoor activities to offer and Rokko's cabin was a great place to stay.

Great secluded getaway

Went snowmobiling for a long weekend. Hosts were great people to deal with. Super close access to trails. If you love the woodsy, outdoors - you'll love this. Overall really good experience!

Owners greeted us on arrival, very friendly people

We stayed over the New Year. Beautiful place to stay. Great view of the lake. The owner gave us very easy directions to follow to get there. Very quiet and cozy place to stay. Not to mention New Year's Eve it snowed maybe over 5 inches which was amazing.

The "Wild Winds" is a beautiful place in the winter, serene and pristine. Some days it feels like you're in a giant snow globe. You can indulge in snow sports, like skiing or snowmobiling, or just sit around the fireplace. But don't forget spring, summer or fall... Hope you come back soon!

Peaceful scenery

Quiet peaceful scenery. Lots of wildlife on the lake. Good access to Gaylord ! Plenty of fish in the lake !
