About this space
Come leave the world behind. Enjoy and unwind on this beautiful lakefront property in Northern Michigan. Home to deer, loons, swans, ducks and even an eagle or two. Fish off the dock or venture out on our kayaks and enjoy the Up North beauty on Lake Lewis. Enjoy your morning coffee, strolling along our 40+ ft deck or build yourself an outside campfire, surrounded by birch and pine trees. Cabin is cozy and quaint, decorated with a Northern, “Up at the Lake” theme. Your room is waiting.
The space
Intimate and charming cabin offers 2 bedrooms, featuring Master bedroom with Queen-Size bed, and separate bathroom and shower. 2nd bedroom with full-size bed. Additional 3rd room/den that offers a twin size bed. Fully Equipped Kitchen with modern appliances along with washer and dryer. Living room with lakeside view. Cozy den with twin size bed. Home equipped with Wi-Fi, Smart TV, and DVD player. Downtown Gaylord, 12 miles away, offering skiing, golfing, shopping, dining etc.

Very nice place looks to have been recently remodeled. Everything was in very good condition and we were impressed with how clean and maintained the property looked. We loved the decor and all the amenities for cooking. The outdoor setting on the lake with the deck and fire pit made day and night relaxing very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property, and we hope to return next year

I was looking for a quiet place to relax and revitalize. And this was certainly the place. Lounging in the three season room as darkness enveloped me was perfect.

This vacation rental is BETTER than the pictures! Right on the lake, and a quiet, low-traffic lake as well! Good fishing! The house is immaculately kept and clean...clean.... CLEAN! Everything we needed, wanted, or could think of was in the house to use, Awesome screened porch and deck, and the fire pit was great! Close to Gaylord for groceries, but far enough away from the traffic. The host was helpful and available, and very friendly! This is a great place to relax and unwind!

Lake Louise getaway

We had a great vacation. The house was clean and was decorated very nice. This gave us time to relax and unwind, much needed. Loved the sound of the loon in the evenings.

Great Quiet Weekend

The place is extremely clean. Has some toys to help keep us occupied. The lake is pretty quiet, not a lot of motor traffic.

Great relaxing get-away

We absolutely loved the house and the location. We both needed to relax and unwind and The Resting Place was perfect for us. We felt very blessed to have the chance to be there for a few days. The house is excellent and well stocked. Sitting on a small quiet lake was so peaceful. We are were close enough to Gaylord or other places to get out when we wanted to but be "away" at the house when we wanted to.

This is the nicest place we have stayed, the host was very responsive. The property was very clean and we enjoyed the screen porch the most. Never turned on the TV once, fishing was great and the use of the kayaks was a plus. The gas grill worked great and we cooked on site most of the time. This property is a must rent, very relaxing home. The time spent here could not have been any better nothing to complain about and the home had everything we could need. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT STAY!
