Penticton Carriage House

Knew there were stairs (4+18), we are age 70+ but managed well. Would be very happy to stay again providing our fitness remains essentially the same. Could have used a few little things easily brought for next time ie. vegetable peeler, more face cloths for bathroom (only 2 provided for the week), t-towels and hand towels for kitchen. Well equipped kitchen & laundry but didn’t want to run a tiny load. There were tons of bath towels. Loved the cozy throws! The TV…never could find the hockey games. Found a Netflix series but couldn’t another pm…tech challenged obviously! Beds comfy…quiet area. Two loungers to relax on the big deck would have been awesome! Loved our stay!!

The carriage house was very clean and well equipped. There was only street parking and walking to the unit meant walking down an alley a short distance. As a woman traveling alone I wouldn’t have rented this knowing I had to walk down an alley to get to the house from the street. Mind you some of the properties have their parking in the back or their units were accessed via the alley/back access road. I didn’t feel unsafe though and it was an extremely quiet neighborhood. The carriage house had a great large upper balcony equipped with table and chairs and a little area with patio table and BBQ at the entrance. You weren’t far from anything you could ever possibly need as well. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would consider booking again if there was access to the back of the property from the street and avoid the alley all together. The owners (not the host) are at the front street side and the carriage home is above the owners garage at the back of their property. The carriage house is nicely decorated and tasteful and it doesn’t feel like your above a garage to be honest. Liked the fact I was able to do a little Netflix binge too. I did get to meet Brian (Host) and the Property Owner do to a glitch with the air conditioning system and they were attentive and worked hard to get the system in operating order again. Both gentlemen were great to deal with and personable.

We were attending a week long course at the Penticton campus of Okanagan College and the location was ideal! But it was also very convenient for accessing downtown shopping and restaurants on foot. Check in was easy, the suite is spacious and well equipped. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful place to spend a holiday. Check In was a breeze, all info provided ahead of time. Rooms are spacious, immaculately clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped, was able to easily cook and bake, and the dishwasher works great for cleanup. Neighborhood is calm and quiet, we loved sitting on the balcony to have morning coffee. Will definitely recommend and return!

Awesome, comfortable place!

This guesthouse was wonderful. Super tidy and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our thanksgiving dinner! Host was very clear with check-in directions, and responded to any questions I had in a timely manner. Would totally recommend and stay here again.

Great place for a group of friends or family

Awesome property, very clean, had everything we needed. Stayed here with 5 friends, the kitchen and living area are very open which is perfect for having drinks and snacks and chatting. Big deck outside with table to play games around as well. 10 minute or so walk to the beach / main beach road with all the bars and restaurants. Communication with hosts was amazing. I ended up losing my bag with my phone inside and they found it and express shipped it to me with no charge. Would recommend!

Perfect getaway

Such a well-appointed place to stay! It was quiet, well-stocked with all the amenities, super-clean and very comfortable. While not on the Main Street, (a benefit) it was very convenient to everything.
