YES! THE LAKE IS LOW. BUT THIS IS THE PLACE YOU WANT. WE ARE ON A DEEP WATER COVE WITH UNIMPEDED ACCESS TO THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE. WE HAVE A FLOATING DOCK. FISH OFF THE DOCK OR KEEP YOUR BOAT ON IT
This beautiful A Frame is on a protected cove and nestled right in the middle of the Angelina National Forest on a secluded peninsula (six miles down Forest Service Roads) and right on gorgeous Lake Sam Rayburn. This spacious retreat sits on over an acre on a protected cove where you can fish and ski all day long. Boats can safely be kept in the water on a floating dock.
Since we are in the middle of the National Forest, you are steps away from hiking. Enjoy miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and bird watching. Challenge your kids to a game of horse shoes, washers, corn hole or spike ball and then cool off in the lake.
The house has 5 bedrooms and two bathrooms and sleeps 18 in beds! It is fully equipped with Starlink high speed internet and Roku Smart Tv and DVD player and DVDs.
Plenty of dishes, utensils, kitchenware, pots and pans and everything you need to cook for a large group. Outside is a charcoal grill and a fire pit with a large grill top. In the garage is an extra refrigerator freezer and a washer and dryer. Inside dining seats 6 at the table and another 6 at the bar with seating for 16 outside on the deck. Bathrooms are stocked with plenty of towels and wash cloths, including beach towels.
All three downstairs bedrooms have queen size beds. The loft bedroom has a king bed and is upstairs. The bunk room is upstairs and has one queen, one full and six twin beds. All beds have very comfortable mattresses and high quality bedding and the full, queens and king beds all have super pillow top mattresses. They are so comfortable you won't want to get out of bed!!
The property has over 300' of shoreline. A two man kayak and a canoe is available with life vests. A large deck overlooks the water and has two large picnic tables and seating. Access to Hiking and paddling trails. Guided tours available upon request and appointment. This place is the best deal on the lake! Just look at the reviews.

The view was amazing and the entire cabin was perfect from a well set up kitchen and the bedrooms were all clean and comfortable, the fire pit was clean and ready to use as well as the grill and the host were just amazing people. We are looking forward to another stay there if they will have us.

Perfect for a rustic secluded stay on the lake. Pet friendly. A little dusty, but overall no major issues. The host was very accommodating. Would recommend, and would visit again.

Stephen and his lovely wife Ferryn we absolutely fantastic hosts. Lovely people sharing a lovely home with the world. The cabin is beautifully situated on a cove, and is very comfortable. My wife and I found it very easy to relax and unwind on the back patio, and the boat dock being available was fantastic since we could stroll down to our boat in the morn gs and take off straight from the cabin. The cabin was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I'm not sure which pillows they have, but I would love to own them - best pillow I've used in years! The driveway is a easily accessible, with a u-shape meaning no need to back out. The water pressure was fantastic, and there was plenty of hot water for long showers. We will absolutely be coming back to this wondrous little slice of heaven. We truly enjoyed our time here.

Beautiful stay, waterfront vacay
Lovely place for a family getaway right on the lake. The owners are very nice and accomodating.

It was nice and spacious, owner gave lots of info and was very helpful during our stay, we brought a pontoon and the lake was down but the owner took my husband to the boat ramp to see if we could launch there…. It was a nice peaceful get away with friends and family! All the beds were super comfy… it was one of the beat vrbo experiences we have had by far

Absolute Heaven
Property has everything you could possibly want for a great time, from outdoor games or sports to available movies We have stayed there twice now for family reunions and hopefully will be there next year.

Great property
The owners were very nice and the house was perfect for our group. The view is incredible and the lake was so enjoyable. The house is well equipped for a fun trip. Would highly recommend!

Awesome house on the lake
A beautiful house located in great area. This is my third time to stay here and will continue staying here. The owners were very nice and was sure to let us know if we needed anything to get with them. Definitely will be booking here again.

Great Place
We have used the place for the last 2 years for our Family Vacation. Absolute best place I have found for a large group at the absolute best price. You could spend double the amount and still not have as nice a place / Location as this. I 110% recommend the A Frame House

We had a wonderful time. We had 18 people and had lots og toomngor everyone. This is a great location on the lake and this is a great place to tent and the owners are amazing. They let us come in early and leave a little later since it rained some. We had a fantastic weekend

We are retired teachers who live in the A Frame during the winter and at our next door cabin during rental season. We love to watch the sunsets, water ski, spot bald eagles and relax on the lake during the summer.

We bought this property in 2010 and planned to rent it until we retired. However, we are now retired and even though this will be our permanent address, we are going to continue renting because it has been such a positive experience. Our family owns the small cabin next door which enables us to enjoy the lake while renting the A Frame.

We use to think that the distance from Houston was too far (takes 2 1/2 to 3 hrs) but after spending time at some lakes close to Houston with the crowds, we think our lake is the best in Texas.
