About this space
This is the quintessential beach house! Walk down the block to put your feet in the sand or pick up a bottle of wine at historic Jack's Country Store.
Play games in the huge fenced yard, go clamming & build a bonfire on the beach or take a drive to explore this 28 mile long Peninsula and all it has to offer!
LaVerna has a gas BBQ, picnic table, fire pit, shuffleboard, smart TVs, DVD player, bikes, WiFi and a covered front porch.
The space
"LaVerna" (the name given to our beach house over 100 years ago) is well equipped and can be your "home away from home" on the Long Beach Peninsula.
The game room which is separate from the main house is a place to play shuffleboard, play one of the many games provided, watch a movie on the 55" TV or just sit and read in front of the propane stove on a stormy evening with a glass of wine. The couch also makes into a queen size sleeper should the need or want to use the room for additional sleeping space arises.
If you're more of an outdoorsy type, grab a couple of the beach chairs and take the quick walk down to the beach for a bonfire. Or hop on one of the bikes and take a ride along Park Avenue!
During clamming season I have clam guns and nets - - licenses can be purchased at Jack's Country Store.
The kitchen has most everything you might need including some basic spices, plenty of dishes/glassware, pots and pans and a coffee bar with coffee, creamers, sugar, etc. for your morning brew.
The house has two bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a tub - - no shower) plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.
There are 3 bedrooms (one has a queen bed with attached bath, one has bunk beds and the third has a full size double bed).
LaVerna also has a washer and dryer for your use.
The other great feature about this house is the large, fenced yard. The side yard is very open and a great place to play yard games while dining al fresco at the picnic table - - just bring home some fresh seafood, throw it on the propane grill and you're all set!
There is a more secluded area on the property with a big fire pit - - bring on the s'mores!!

The house is adorable. The detached game room was super cool. We loved the bunnies in the yard, the blooming lilac, and the quick and easy beach access. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Had a great game room. The house was clean and cozy. Smelled nice. Had a nice coffee shop close to the house and very close to the beach. Also had a little grocery store and a few restaurants close by. Our family loved it.

Loved the house and yard. Literally walk out front door and maybe a block down the road and you are on the beach. The house was emaculate! Kids had a blast in the game room. We didn’t have a chance to use it but there's a great firepit. Truly could not ask for a better place to stay!

This beach house was perfect for our family - the kitchen was well-stocked and the beach was just steps away.

This was a fantastic find in Ocean Park. We loved staying at the LaVerna. The host was amazing and so great at communicating. Just steps away from the beach, we will be back for sure!

Hi my name is Desiree. I grew up in Portland, OR but moved to Washington a long time ago. I am married with a whole bunch of kiddos ( Biological, Step, Bonus, and Furry). We enjoy spending as much time as we can together and out playing! We have wanted a place at the beach to enjoy for so long and our glad to share it with others to make their memories when we are not using it to make our memories:)

We love LaVerna as its location is the best! We can walk, drive and ride bikes anywhere we need to get to! While there are houses that block the ocean view you can see it from the corner of our property and you can for sure hear the waves!
Qué distingue a esta propiedad
Our location is prime to the restaurants, ocean, and shopping in Ocean Park and our lot is a double lot so there is plenty of space to play and hang out together. Having a separate space for our game room really gives you the opportunity to enjoy things while not disturbing other members of the family that may be sleeping/napping:)
