Come enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains in Murphy NC while you stay in this rustic dovetail log cabin. Enjoy hiking, river rafting, fishing, zip lining, horseback riding or try your luck at the Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino. When it's time to relax, you can stay in and enjoy the fireplace in the living room while the kids enjoy having their own area in the finished basement, which provides a bedroom with twin beds, a big screen TV, Galaga arcade game, foosball table, and an ESPN arcade basketball game. Connect to the internet wirelessly on our high-speed fiber optic line with speeds up to 100 MBPS. The kitchen is updated with all the conveniences you could want. Both the main master suite and the loft master suite have queen size beds. The cabin sits in a wooded setting that is very quiet and peaceful. You can sit on the porch and enjoy the rocking chair while you listen to the crickets and watch the lightening bugs. Instead of driving into town for dinner you can have your dinner on the porch and on the picnic table. There is a grill sitting just feet away from the picnic table for your convenience. Three levels and 1870 sq ft for you to enjoy.

Better for shorter term stay

We have used vrbos for long term and short term stays. On shorter stays some of the amenities can be less important to us as we usually have other actinities going on so that we are just basically lodging there. However our winter trips tend to be longer term and subtle things can really enhance a stay. Like having comfortable living room seating with sufficient accent furnishings would make days of hanging out in the house much more comfortable. As well as, using the bathroom space without a few hooks to a least hang bath towels or some clothes on would make the facilities much more usable. And having one 13gal trash can and having to haul to local drop site is a bigger deal when staying lover a month verses a few days. While I would use and recommend a small family using this rental for a short term stay. I would not consider it for a stay longer than a week without improvements in the aforementioned amenities.

Great Getaway

It was a wonderful fall vacation .Timing perfect for leaves change and weather was ideal. Crispy cold at night and 60s and 70 degrees during days. Dined at Rib Country 3 times and went to Nick and Nates in Bryson City. Beds were comfortable and never heard a peep from neighbors. Seen 4 deer on 3 occasions within a mile from cabin. Garbage facility was very convenient .The only issue was i missed my 75" TV. Everything else was spot on! Thanks for use of your cabin. Bill and Denise Bradford

Very clean, buts updating

Needs more chairs on decks. Needs more furniture in dinning and living room. Needs an airfryer in kitchen. Needs more blankets for beds. There is no view of mountains from the cabin. The things to do are not up to date. Rive walk was a big disapponitment. Minning and trout ponds were closed. Mornings were nice and cool. If you just want a place to sit and do nothing, this is it. Neighbors down below were a little annoying at times. Overall it was just OK.

View and relaxation

Perfect getaway place, beautiful views and kids had a ball in the game room which gave me some rest and relaxation! Very much needed! Love this place and will be back in the fall/winter!

Me gustó mucho la cabaña, todo muy limpio y organizado, tienes todo lo que necesitas para estar cómodo y divertirte, la sala de juegos es perfecta para los niños disfrutamos toda la familia. Amplia y muy cómoda, la única sugerencia es que necesita nuevas almohadas, pero todo perfecto y acogedor, la recomiendo, y su anfitrión Sr. Andy muy amable . Cozy cabin.

Loved the cabin. Had several nice decks and was in a quiet area. There were a couple of cabins fairly close, but you couldn’t see them from inside the cabin and we never heard them. Would stay again.

Furniture needs to be updated. Bedding needs to be updated. Towels and washcloths are old and stained. Kitchen utensils are old and should be replaced.

Awesome Family Vacation Cabin

Had a great time. The cabin is centrally located. Lots of great things to do needed more time. We went rafting, hiked to waterfall,, zip lined, went to Winery, & went to a few Brewers. I will come again. Thanks for everything.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our time at Beary Sweet Retreat. The cabin was extremely clean. We really appreciated that since the 4 star hotels we've stayed in recently have been less clean. Checkin and checkout went smoothly. Andy answered several question I had while we were staying there. It is close to the main road, which was nice. It is in a quiet neighborhood (3 houses around you) so if you are looking for somewhere that is isolation, you might want to consider other properties. The neighborhood was extremely quiet though. While we were there, we explored Helen, GA, Ellijay, GA, and Blairsville, GA. I recommend bringing your own pillows for some additional comfort. We enjoyed watching the birds on the bird feeders and the peacefulness of the area. It was a nice family getaway for my husband, teen daugther, 9 year old son, and I. We were happy to leave the chaos behind for a few days.

We stayed for 3 months....the UGLY, the BAD and the GOOD

The UGLY... dishes and silverware were not just filthy, but had seemingly NOT been washed...our text comment to the owner was that "our floors at home were cleaner then the dishes". The BBQ would not light, and had so much grease on it we would never have used it... (we bought a cheapo at walmart and that is what we used...PLUS SIDE, owner re-imbursed us for that)...the frying pans, stove and underside of microwave were coated in grease splatter. The BAD.... spiders were everywhere....we knocked down 50 (FIFTY) plus spider webs on the back porch, and killed or vacuumed numerous spider in the cabin. (it is in the woods, so expect spiders, but porch should have been taken care of before we arrived). The GOOD... most of the rest of the cabin appeared clean. The owner was VERY RESPONSIVE when contacted and even drove up from either Ft Lauderdale of Jacksonville to take care of many things ( he removed the old BBQ, cleaned the stove top, replaced the microwave with a new one, replaced a toilet seat, bought new pots, and he washed both upper and lower porches to get rid of any remaining spiders/webs. The cabin is located in a very woodsy area, and sitting on the porch during the cooler mornings was wonderful. We took morning walks along burger road which was not busy. Trout fishing at Fires Creek and the Nantahalla were great. There are also numerous hiking trails (mostly in the Helen area) that lead to some great waterfalls.... OVERALL.... cabin was ok for us....we enjoyed our 3 months there and if push came to shove, we would consider staying there again. We left the cabin cleaner then when we arrived. Hopefully Andy (the owner)will find someone new to clean or have a long talk about how she will clean in the future
