Enjoy the peace and quiet while you unwind from the back porch or by the campfire after a day of hiking, kayaking, or whitewater rafting. Murphy NC offers local dining including family friendly restaurants, pubs, micro breweries, fine dining and coffee houses.
Explore Cherokee County and surrounding areas by vehicle led waterfall tours & destinations like the Bavarian Village of Helen Georgia and enjoy a taste of the Alps without crossing the big pond. Hike a multitude of trails, explore the mountains on horseback, rent a kayak or canoe and float our many rivers, there's even a railbike tour in Andrews to view the beautyof our mountains. If the weather doesn't permit outdoor adventures there's always the Cherokee River Casino, the historic Henn Theater, sightseeing & driving tours, winery's & the ever popular local micro breweries.

The cabin was exactly as pictured. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was easy to get to and had everything we needed. We would definitely go back and 100% recommend it to anyone!

The cabin was cozy and clean. Dog friendly too. Plenty of places to visit within an hour from the cabin like Helen, Georgia and Anna Ruby Falls. The hosts were super nice as well.

Great getaway

Loved the cabin and it’s location, we were close to Murphy NC but still far enough away to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, The cabin was decorated nice and it had everything we needed.

Amazing place to stay! Spacious and comfortable! Host was very responsive! The scenery around the cabin was absolutely beautiful! Great location. There’s many things to do close by. I totally enjoyed my stay.

We loved renting this cabin! It was so cute and homey. Checkin process was so easy and the landlord was so nice! Loved the peace and quiet!

Great stay

Super clean little cabin with a great layout so felt very roomy. Loved all the mountain decor. Nice quiet location! Loved the fire pit and relaxing on the back deck. Recommend this lovely cabin in the woods.

Exactly What We Wanted

Beautiful cabin! Owner/ manager was outstanding, even left fresh brown eggs from her chickens for our use. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Visiting friends. We used to live in Murphy.

Such a cute, cozy cabin! We particularly loved the forest view. Angie was very friendly and helpful, of course.

I'm Angie, I was born and raised in Latrobe Pennsylvania. My husband is Kelly and he grew up between Atlanta and Savannah Georgia, calling Savannah home. We moved to Murphy to run a campground with his folks. Having started our own family we enjoyed being close to grandparents. They absolutely enjoyed being close to a new grandchild. We had already worked in hospitality so hosting the guests came easy to us. My husband's family helped him and his father build this cabin in 2001. It has been in the family and rented ever since. We made local trips to discover what the mountains have to offer and shared it with our guests. Our family has grown, we now have a grandchild of our own. Our daughter & I have horses and a few small farm animals. My husband rides motorcycles and both kids work in real estate with Kelly.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We've lived at the campground located down the hill from the cabin on 2 different occasions. When we moved here and when we were moving away, a whole 6 miles. We built & raised our family in the ranch style house on the hill above the cabin. So most of that little area around the cabin is ours and we've lived there from 1998 till May of 2025. It's a small, quiet, rural neighborhood with neighbors that keep to themselves.
