The host could not have been nicer. We stayed for 4 days and it was a perfect location. Would recommend this place to stay. Comfy and plenty of room to relax. Beds were comfy as well.

Kathy & Sayres are such wonderful hosts! Their property is updated, clean, comfortable, well equipped and inviting. Very close to the downtown McKinney square making it fun for shopping & dining. A great place to stay…thank you!

The Dwelling is our new favorite place to stay while we're in town for festivals or anytime. Conveniently located, super clean and comfortable, and the hosts Kathy and Sayers are the ones you pray to get when you're selecting a vacation home. Absolutely perfect.

We’ve stayed at our fair share of VRBO properties over the last few years - this one was by far the cleanest, which is a huge deal for me. The location is perfect. So close to downtown but not right on the square, so the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The house was wonderful, plenty of space for a couple or 2. I’ll also say, this is the first property I’ve stayed at that provided plenty of towels, hand towels, etc.! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Kathy is a top notch host!

Beautiful home. Perfectly met our needs. Although, there is lots of construction going on in the neighborhood. Kept us awake and discouraged outdoor conversation. We would and may rent again but would check on this first.

The house was perfect- provided everything we needed & quiet/safe neighborhood. Kathy was helpful & responsive no any questions I had. I would love to stay here again if I am back in McKinney. Thank you Kathy for a wonderful week in your beautiful home!!

Highly recommend The Dwelling Place in McKinney, Tx. The owner has been responsive and pleasant the entire trip. The house is clean and well maintained. We had a great stay!

We stayed here for 5 nights and we had a very good stay. The house was beautifully prepared and presented for our arrival which we appreciated. The host brought a bowl of fruit round the first morning which was a nice touch. Everything we needed was in the house aside from an electric kettle which seems to be the normal with rentals in the US. Although the house in in a busy neighbourhood it was actually very quiet and even though the Halloween celebrations took place during our stay the neighbours were respectful and festivities were wound up promptly and there was no disturbance. You can easily walk into downtown McKinney in 20 minutes and that is a nice place to visit with boutique shops and restaurants. If its your thing the Dallas Ranch is only 25 minutes down the road. Driving to Dallas takes effort as the roads are busy and complex if not familiar.Being in the city the rooms can be quite light at night even with the shutters closed and the various outdoor lights don't help. In addition there is no blind on the kitchen window which is not great for night time privacy. The property does have security cameras trained on the back deck and drive and this deterred us from using the outdoor spaces as we do not like to feel watched, no matter what the purpose of these cameras is for.The above points will not bother everyone so all in all a highly recommended property with excellent hosts and we would recommended this to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in McKinney.

Beautiful home and wonderful hosts! Communication with Kathy was very easy and Sayres even stopped by our first night with a welcome basket of fruit. Everything was just as described in the listing. We would definitely love to say here again!

Very cute. The location is on the edge of downtown McKinney. Kids loved the back yard. I did find a previous guest’s dirty sock and hair in the bathroom, but it seemed very clean otherwise.
