Convenient location from Rockford Airport

Perfect stay, easy drive from airport and walked to breakfast and dinner. Will stay again next time in the area.

Very nice house, great location.

We spent the weekend to attend a family wedding in the area. Everything was clean and organized as advertised. It’s quiet but a very short walk from the cute town and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

Grwat property! Could have had some cushions on the patio furniture and access to lawn chairs for the fire pit but lovely stay as a whole.

Ladies Weekend Getaway

Great stay at this Victorian home. Restaurants and local stores were within easy walking distance in this comfortable neighborhood. All our needs were met, and we loved the interesting style of the home. Fun time at Hard Rock Casino too.

Charming Victorian Home in Historic Downtown Cherry Valley

We spent New Year's in Cherry Valley and very much enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful and stocked with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a home in Rockford or a quiet town in northern Illinois.

We had an exceptional stay. The house was tastefully decorated for the holidays. The kitchen was well equipped and our hostess Carolyn was in contact throughout the stay. This Vrbo is a gem!

Lovely & comfortable

Great location for a family reunion held in Rockford, with walking distance to restaurants & park in Cherry Valley. Lovely and comfortable furnishings. Well provided kitchen Don’t know if it was an oversight by hosts, but bring your own shampoo as there was none provided Still worth the stay!!

Family reunion lodging

This was second time we've stayed in a Victorian style VRBO. First was in Galena, Illinois in a house where U.S. General Grant lived before the Civil War. The Victorian homes offer more than just a place to sleep. This one very well set up for guests. Kudos to the hosts for preserving the house and sharing with others.

Great house, location & host

Stayed here for a work trip that took us to dairy farms in all directions from Rockford. The house is terrific and is super convenient to the interstates making getting in/out a breeze. This is a quiet neighborhood--with brick street--that feels very safe. Carolyn was very responsive and accommodating--making the check-in/out process painless and ensuring we had a great stay. Will definitely stay here again if work brings me back to the area.

This house was incredible! The decor is stunning and inviting throughout, providing a warm feeling of class and style. Complete with the cutest little signs for any question you may have (including detailed instructions for the four remotes which was so so appreciated!) around the home as well as a cute little coffee bar. The green dining room was probably my favorite room, providing the perfect romantic setting for our valentine's dinner. The host is incredible as well- communicative and polite, and truly went above and beyond. Thank you so much, Carolyn! We can't wait to stay again!

It was very nice and clean. Our only challenge was the narrow staircase and we didn’t realize that from photos. We made it work!

Absolutely lovely

We checked in the day after Christmas and the entire house was beautifully highlighted with charming Christmas decor. Delightful furnishing throughout the house make it very comfortable. Nice details added to make our stay convenient such as an alarm clock that charges the phone and a make up table in the master bedroom as well as a spacious closet. We were very pleased with our stay. The house was clean, and that is probably the most important thing to me. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We look forward to our return visit.

Wish we had more time

We had a short trip to leave my grandson at Rockford University. There was a lot of rushing around, back and forth, getting things arranged, but this house provided a lovely respite for us each evening to relax and get good sleep. The owners are very responsive, the kitchen is well-stocked, and everything is well-labeled. Even as modern amenities abound, the house is a beautiful specimen of Victorian architecture.

What a wonderful find this beautiful and beautifully restored home is! My wife and I, along with our two oldest grandsons (aged 10 & 9) spent the weekend in this home. It was so beautifully decorated for Christmas with Christmas trees in every room! So warm and cozy! Additional Christmas decor made our stay so festive. Our hostess, Carolyn, was VERY responsive to a couple of questions we had. Although it was REALLY cold and snowy when we stayed, I can imagine the big back yard would be great for kids to play in during those appropriate months, along with sitting around the campfire in the provided fire pit. The dining room table is HUGE and we used that to make Christmas candies while we were there. We stay in a lot of VRBO's and this is right at the top of our experiences. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this home.

Cherry Valley June 2024

My family and another family were in town for a lacrosse tournament at MercyHealth SportsCore #2 (an easy 10-15 minute drive). This VRBO was delightful. Super clean 3 bedroom with 2 full bathrooms, big washer and dryer, big backyard, and a spacious kitchen that was well labeled and easy to navigate. Great communications from our host. We had no issues at all, but I feel like if we had contacted the host about a problem, it would have been resolved quickly. We loved the one block walk on brick roads to the heart of Cherry Valley and the local restaurants. We would stay here again if we ever come back to the area.
