Walkable to Everything in Downtown New Braunfels! Restored 1850s German Home - B

This is the back unit of a fully-restored 1850s German home in downtown New Braunfels. The footprint became a duplex in the 1930s and we left it as such. The living room contains a "truth window" - a section where we left the original German fachwerk exposed for those who admire old homes to see some of the original settlers' handiwork. This property is right downtown - restaurants and bars are a block away. Also close to Schlitterbahn, the Comal river, and The Float In. This is one unit of a duplex in downtown New Braunfels. You will share a wall with the other rear unit and guests but you do have your own private porch and entrance. You can often hear live music coming from downtown New Braunfels in the evenings. We do have sound machines in the bedrooms to help mitigate noise concerns around bedtime.

Very cute and great location. As previous reviewers have said, this is very close to the downtown bars and restaurants, so it is noisy at night. That was not an issue for us at all and being walking distance to everything with off street parking was perfect. Very clean and charming, will stay again.

We had a wonderful experience Staying here! The location is perfect! My daughter and i walked into town every morning to grab a cup of coffee. The place was super cute, just like the listing shows. the place was very clean. it is right next store to a small neighborhood bar. I read reviews and brought earplugs, they also provide earplugs for you. Honestly, i probably would have slept just fine without them. they had live music, but it's pretty mellow crowd at least the three nights we were there. unless you are HIGHLY sensitive, this wouldn't be an issue at all. i wouldn't have even been aware without the other reviews. for the coziness, location, and comfort this place brings you, i wouldn't have picked any other options! We will be back for sure! Five out of Five stars for sure!

This was a great place to stay. I travel to New Braunfels annually for a customer engagement and will look forward to staying here again next year.As others have said, this place is located right in the heart of downtown activity, so there's a fair amount of noise in the evenings, especially Fri/Sat night. Club music, traffic, sirens, and the occasional train. If you're a light sleeper, are annoyed by ambient noise, or have little ones needing quiet for naps, this might not be the place for you.That being said, my wife and I thought it was great. It's nice to be able to walk to nearby spots rather than having to drive and find parking. Huisache Grill, Krause's, a food truck, and lots of neat shops are all within one block. There's a grocery store about two blocks away. You can walk around the neighborhood and say hi to the deer in peoples' front yards.The unit itself was very good. As are many buildings in New Braunfels, it's an older building that's been converted/renovated with modern features. The full kitchen makes it easy to cook your own food rather than going out to eat if you want. The bathroom and shower were great, and the bed is very comfortable. We also made use of the combo washer/dryer and AirPlay on the TV. Everything was easy to use and worked well.

Great house in the heart of downtown

Second time we've stayed here! It's the cutest little house, right in the heart of everything. We walked each night to dinner, entertainment, and family-fun. We will be back!

Great location

4 adults stayed there comfortably. Very clean, updated, quaint place. They had everything you need for you stay. The best of New Braunfels is within walking distant or a short drive. Enjoyed our stay and hope to stay there again next year.

Cozy stay near downtown New Braunfels

Great Weekend Get Away for adults

This is the perfect spot if you are planning to spend a night out on the town with your significant other, if you’re packing the whole family it is pretty loud after bedtime with the kids, the hosts did provide items to control the noise, but the bands at the bars and the motorcycles in town definitely roll into the night. Like I said, it’s a perfect spot for two but a tough one for the family with kids. Great hots and great location to downtown life.

Wow! What a little gem! Great location!

This house has been completely remodeled and is in wonderful condition, but the history still shows beautifully. Such a lovely time staying here. The location was incredible. We walked everywhere. The slight noise from the great location didn’t bother us at all and we were able to sleep when we wanted to. Everything was well appointed and clean. The functionality of the home was spot on. The host was great to work with. We will definitely book again here.

The property is literally right there next to everything. Communication with the owners was super easy in the house was just adorable. It was perfect for me and my son to stay. We will definitely be back.
