This cozy space features a queen-sized bed and stands out with its indoor balcony, providing a charming view overlooking the lively Great Hall. Step outside onto your private outdoor balcony to enjoy the crisp fresh air and the serenity of nature. While the Crow`s Nest doesn`t have its own bathroom, two shared bathrooms are conveniently located downstairs in the Zen Barn common area, ensuring easy access for your comfort. Experience a distinctive retreat in this inviting suite, combining the best of both shared and private spaces. Please note that pets and smoking are not allowed.

The quietness property was a great way to relax after long days of driving and hiking in Shenandoah National Park. The property is located near the middle park entrance it so was a convenient midpoint location for my 2-day visit to the Park.Check-in was easy and staff around property were very helpful. My room, Crows Nest, was comfortable and the perfect spot for a solo traveler. I ended my trip with a Thai massage. I would highly recommend making time to get a massage from Tim (Integrated Body Work), one of the recommended massage individuals. Thank you for a great stay!

Quirky and fun

We booked our stay at The Crows Nest in the Zen Barn for our 20th Anniversary! The property and the Barn are quirky and fun. The room was exactly as described. The full kitchen was a lifesaver and we enjoyed cooking and eating a leisurely breakfast each morning before heading out onto Skyline Drive to hike.The only items that could be improved were:1) The air conditioning wasn't turned down when we arrived so the room was quite hot (we were there during a very intense heat wave) and it took a few hours to cool down. 2) The kitchen and the shared bathroom needed attention. There were a lot of ants in the kitchen and the bathroom had not been cleaned before we arrived. However, when we let the owners know, the bathroom was cleaned right away.Otherwise, we had a lovely stay and enjoyed our time there very much!!!

There is a lot of charm in this property and this room! Note that the heater in the room struggles to keep up with the cold during the colder months. It was 60 degrees when I woke up one morning, and the heater had been running non-stop all night. Unfortunately, I didn't try the sauna, but it looked awesome!

This is one of the best places I've stayed in years! It truly has everything - saunas, dipping pools, a movie theater, multiple lounges, great walks and ponds. The decor is very fun, everyone is nice, I was truly sad to leave.

Wonderful experience

My husband and I took a quick getaway for the weekend as we wanted to hike in Shenandoah National park and saw white lotus retreat listed as a place to stay! I had saved this in my wish list about 3 years ago so was so happy to see it pop up again! I immediately booked after seeing the price was spot on! We stayed in the crows nest in the zen barn! It was very clean and the room was comfy and overlooked the main area in the barn! The bathroom and kitchen was shared amongst the others also staying in the zen barn! Everyone was extremely nice and considerate! I would def recommend staying here!
