Great location just south of midtown and accessible to many subways. Apartment was clean and well supplied, having everything I needed right there. Thank you for the two and a half months!

It was a pleasure. There are other options than on site laundry including Washclub (pickup and delivery) and local laundramats that also offer this type of service.

Owner’s communication approach as it relates to the check in is a little forceful and have disclaimers about getting charged for anything that is not the pre-set plan. Forget about asking for any flexibility in your plans, they do not budge or accommodate. Since it is non-cancelable - that is what you get. You can hear all the noise outside on the street, which although usually is not that bad, every night around 11pm or midnight, you can hear the garbage trucks. Apartment was only slightly superficially clean, I had to do a deep clean of the bathroom and in particular the shower, which would get clogged. They mentioned an exterminator comes every month but I don’t think they came during the time I was there and I found and had to kill a cockroach (which although is not unheard of in NY, is not ideal). For a 1.5 month stay it would be nice to have changing sheets or cleaning the apartment but I recognize that may not be the standard.

Javier wanted to amend his stay to less than 30 days which is actually illegal in NY so we could not agree to it. He took offense that we would not do so. We wish he told us there was any issue upon his arrival as we would have immediately addressed it but he did not do so. We do have proactive preventative exterminating every month which we tell our guests far in advance and your presence is not required. As to cancellation, there is a cancellation period provided in the listing under VRBO rules, but this is a variation on the fact that we could not legally adjust his stay to less than 30 days as it would be illegal in NY. We do not provide cleaning services because people value their privacy, they have a range of expectations. He could have arranged for a cleanging service and directed their services. .

Great short term rental

My son stayed here fall of 2020 when we made the last minute decision that his dorm wouldn’t be safe enough for our comfort during the pandemic. It fit his needs perfectly. I do wish it had been easier for him to contact the property manager (this had to be done via vrbo messaging and wasn’t always seen immediately) and that he had been able to receive mail, but those were relatively minor concerns.

It was lovely to host Kimberly's son and we hope to host again. We have experienced on our part and the guests fraud and improper use of the mail/delivery in the past so this is to protect both the guest and ourselves.
