Located on Leonard Lake, this 2BR waterfront retreat is the ideal choice for a tranquil getaway. Nestled on a 1.5-acre wooded lot, your vacation rental has a private dock for fishing and swimming, a firepit, and a gas grill. With stunning sunsets from the dock and amazing views from within the home, you find yourself surrounded by quiet while within the city. A perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

When you want to explore, downtown Ellsworth is 5 minutes away, while Acadia National Park is 30 minutes from home.

LIVING AREA

Unwind on the sectional in the sunlit living area, which has an electric fireplace and a smart TV.

KITCHEN & DINING

The updated kitchen is appointed with a full suite of stainless steel appliances, ample counter space, and a four-person kitchen bar.

This home sleeps four guests in two bedrooms.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, while the second bedroom has two twin beds. The bathroom is configured with a walk-in shower.

The wooded backyard features a shady oasis to sit & enjoy blissful days. A private dock is perfect for fishing and swimming. Take the provided kayaks out on the lake.

Updated and perfect set up with everything you would need to make you feel at home. We really enjoyed our stay and the owners are quick to respond to any needs. We would stay here again and enjoyed the property.

This is a beautiful property! The house is right on the lake, so quiet and serene yet just a couple of minutes drive from the town center. We loved the wall of windows giving us a fabulous view of the lake. The home is clean, the kitchen well appointed, and the bed is so comfortable after a day of hiking. Our hosts responded immediately and courteously whenever we had questions. We felt very welcome. We will happily stay here again if we make it back to Maine!

This space was exactly as described. It was homey and the living room area having the open kitchen space with the windows looking to the lake was so beautiful. It was a clean space and there were so many spices and dry food items left from previous guests and we took advantage of that. There was was ample ziploc bags and to go containers so we could store our food we made. The binder was full of things to do and places to eat. The firepit was awesome and we used it twice during our stay. Having a washer and dryer in unit was great too, I was able to do my laundry before heading home. The lake was gorgeous and we took advantage of the kayaks. That was one of the reasons I booked and so glad I did. It was very peaceful, quiet and having a space looking out to the lake was great.

This property was fantastic. Exactly what is listed, the home is clean and well looked after. We didn’t need to communicate with the host because everything was well laid out and in working order. The water view is unbeatable, the quiet area was exactly what we were looking for. Check out was a very simple process, they didn’t expect us to do bedding laundry or be housekeeping in the morning. All of the beds were comfortable and the space was exactly what was pictured in the website.

First, let me say we absolutely loved this home! It was even more beautiful in person than the photos suggested. The decor was charming, and it was clear that so much thought and care had gone into making every part of the home comfortable and welcoming.The lake was absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, scenic, and everything we had hoped for. The house was spotless, incredibly well stocked, and perfect for our family. Even during a heat wave, it stayed cool and comfortable. The beds were amazingly comfortable, and we appreciated the great selection of DVDs for relaxing in the evenings or on rainy days.The location was ideal for exploring the area, with easy drives to Bangor, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and the charming downtown area of Ellsworth. We also loved that the hosts provided a book of local recommendations, which helped us discover some wonderful places.The hosts were fantastic from start to finish and made everything easy. They truly helped make our trip to Maine unforgettable. We would happily stay here again!

Great stay for Acadia

The location is perfect if you are looking for a more affordable option outside of Bar Harbor. The property was wonderful and had all the ammeneties we needed.

I am a high school teacher in the KC area and my wife is a Pharmacist working in an outpatient hospital pharmacy. We have traveled the coast of Maine for years and love our second home - Ellsworth, ME. Though we don't live in the area full time, we have been apart of the Downeast community for 20+ years. We have owned several properties here and love to share all the wonders of Maine with our friends and family. It truly is a special place. We love Ellsworth, and think our little town is a fantastic place to live, work, and visit. We are pretty meticulous about the upkeep of our homes, and we work very hard to ensure our guests feel comfortable while staying here. We believe our guest they will find our lakeside homes to be a peaceful place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring all the area has to offer.

Leonard Lake is a hidden gem, right in the heart of Ellsworth. This lake is so quiet and peaceful, you rarely see anyone on the water. As one of the only waterfront homes on the lake, we feel like its our own private place to fish, kayak or swim.

This cozy home was originally built in 1964. We bought the home from the original owners and did a complete gut and remodel down to the studs. Every inch of the home is new, and we have put in many personal touches that define Maine's quality of life and immense beauty. Additionally, the home is so close to the water, you feel like you can almost touch it from the any of the windows. The firepit and patio area are perfect for gathering with family and enjoying the beautiful sunsets over the water.
