On the Sand in Carpinteria

Our house is on one of the most beautiful coves of beach anywhere. This beach is a secret gem and you may often find that you are the only person on the sand. Our house is only a ten minute drive from lovely downtown Santa Barbara and 1 1/2 hours away from west Los Angeles. You can enjoy watching the dolphins swim by as you eat at the kitchen table or sit on the front deck. You can try out our kayaks for a closer look in the sheltered bay. Come relax and enjoy. We are located between Carpinteria--a small, friendly beach town, and Montecito--a community with beautiful hillside canyons and spectacular estates. Both cities have excellent restaurants, wonderful farmers' markets, antique shopping, etc. The Santa Barbara wine country is not far. Nearby to the north and east of us, the Los Padres National Forest, offers thousands of square miles of back country opportunities. Nearby are multiple opportunities for outdoor activities or fine dining and entertainment.

Wonderful home for our multi-generation family vacation! Being right on the beach was great for the younger set, and staying on the deck observing all their fun was terrific for us grandparents! Hope we can stay here again on future visits.

The Best Rental Anywhere

There's a reason this house gets booked up months in advance, it is the best family vacation rental anywhere. Right on the beach, 8 minute drive to Albertsons, 10 min walk to Padaro Grill... it's heavenly.

Wonderful Beach House!

Great time at our three generation celebration of my 70th birthday! The house is so well equipped, all you need to bring is your clothes and food. Boogie boards, kayaks, bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, beach towels are all included. The kitchen is well stocked, even has a full drawer of spices. We cooked all our meals at the house so we could take advantage of the fabulous view. Lots of dolphin and sea lion sightings, ocean waves very gentle for the older and younger ones.

Beautiful location

The location is stunning. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach. Couple of things to note… there is not a regular coffee maker - only a Keurig and pods were not provided. The queen bed on the main floor was not comfortable. Our last evening and the morning we left we were not able to get hot water in the showers. Property manager asked us to let the showers run for at least 5 minutes to obtain hot water - still no hot water. Other than these few things we loved the location.

The BEST stay!

I had such a lovely weekend with a group of gals - the photos did not do the house justice! It was right on the water, in a great and safe neighborhood. Will definitely look to come back here in the future.

Dreamy Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at CScape. 4 adults, 5 kids, plenty of room to stretch out. House comes fully stocked. Beach toys and games for the kids to enjoy. We had the best time!

Great home on beautiful beach

This house was perfect for our three-generation gathering. With five bedrooms and four bathrooms, this place will hold a big group. The beach and views of the coastline are breathtaking. The grandkids are saying that they already miss the beach house! We can't wait to come back. Thanks for sharing this special place with us.

Highlight of our trip

We visited Santa Barbara to attend a family wedding. Our trip started in Solvang it ended at the beach house. What an amazing way to end our trip. The location was just outside of Santa Barbara which didn’t matter because the house was on the beach. Simply amazing.

Fantastic stay. Pictures don’t do the property’s location justice. RIGHT on the beach. No complaints except for some (small) cleanliness issues. Scum in hot tub. (Which was addressed by pool maintaince company.) Food crumbs in the clean dishes cabinets. Sand in sheets. Would definitely return.

Great family house in ideal locstion

Our family of three gnerations loved staying here. On a great swimming and walking beach, the house is comfortable and charming. The new hot tub was a plus. The dishwasher failed on us, but the property manager got it taken care of promptly. We would love to return to this soecial retreat on Padaro Lane.

TRULINDEAU BEACH TRIP 2021

My wife and kids vacation in Santa Barbara twice a year. We’ve always wanted to stay at a beach house at Santa Clause Beach and finally made it work. My extended family was able to join us and it was way better than all expectations!!! We’ll definitely be making this an annual trip! BEST. VACATION. EVER.

We had a wonderful time! Our friends from out of state (another family of 5 with 3 teenagers) rented their own house directly on the sand on same beach and although their house had newer kitchen/baths we liked this house better. Good floor plan, homey, and plenty of room to stretch out and not be on top of each other. The manager was also very easy to work with.
