ARE WE THERE YET? is the East half of an Oceanfront Duplex, recently refurbished with 2100 sq.ft of living space. New kitchen cabinets and granite!! New bathroom vanities with granite!!Furnished with designer furniture, as well as pillow-top mattresses. Linens are provided with beds made. Central air and heat, well equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, 6 flat screen TV's, DVD players, wireless high speed Internet access with free wifi, Jacuzzi in master suite, ceiling fans throughout, water softener. Panoramic ocean views; great for dolphin watching. Large oceanfront decks on three levels with high end porch furniture ( Polywood hi top table and chairs) including chaise lounges. New high end swivel padded rockers. Middle deck has DRY SNAP ROOF so it can be enjoyed rain or shine. Plenty of outdoor dining space with picnic tables. Large WEBER gas grill, enclosed hot/cold outside shower, double carport with additional parking and lighted landscaping. Located near Bogue Inlet Pier. Weekly only during high season. No smoking. No pets. Must be 25 years old to rent.

Absolutely Amazing Vacation Home

I would like to say that we had an amazing time on our trip. A big part of this was due to the beautiful, spacious and comfortable vacation home we were blessed to find! When I say immaculate, it just doesn’t do it justice! This property was spotless and so well equipped that they simply thought of EVERYTHING! The hosts were fantastic, so kind and thoughtful! We’ll definitely be going back!

Thanksgiving on the beach!

We brought our immediate family, which was 10 of us ,to stay here for the week of Thanksgiving. I couldn’t even think of anything that wasn’t perfect. The location of the place was perfect, the rooms perfect ,the kitchen utensils, and plates and everything you need for a beautiful Thanksgiving table was there and perfect. I cannot thank them enough for giving us such a wonderful time at Thanksgiving on theBeach. My 8 yr old grandson said he had never stayed in a mansion before and he loved it. Thanks again and Happy Holidays from the Pearsons

Family Time

Perfect!

My husband and I stayed for a week and enjoyed every second. This home is beautiful. Location is perfect, views were amazing and the owners were so helpful! Can not say enough good things about our experience. The home is well furnished and has everything you need. Would absolutely love to stay again!

Truly wonderful

I won't bore you by repeating all the other 5-star reviews, which cover the amenities so well. Read them to hear how wonderful this house is. I'll just add to them by saying that, while staying in this lovely house, I witnessed two of the greatest sunsets of my life just outside the backdoor. Also, sleeping to the sound of ocean waves is pretty fantastic. The owner is very helpful, attentive, and flexible, and we'll be staying here again for sure!

The Johnson Family

We had a great time when staying in Emerald Isle. It was our first visit and won't be our last. It was nice that the beach during our stay was not crowded and the people were pretty friendly. My Grandson and Granddaughter had a ball. Terry was great to work with. She was very helpful since we had no clue what Emerald Isle would be like and what there was to do. My Granddaughter who is 17 found plenty of things to do. She even tried paddle boarding which she loved.

Family Reunion at "Are We There Yet? "

Our family traveled from Wake Forest, NC; San Diego, CA; and, Phoenix, AZ to meet for a week at this oceanfront duplex known as, "Are We There Yet?" It was the vacation of a lifetime! The house was gorgeous, and everything inside was new, clean and decorated so perfectly. We forgot most of the time that it wasn't our house, because we felt just like we were at home. We will never forget our memories during our stay this house. We played cards, had picnics on the beach, watched the sunset, and enjoyed little fireworks shows every night. We would highly recommend this property to anyone, and hope some day we are lucky enough to travel here again!

Great lounging or launching pad!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay between Christmas and New Years. Comfortably fit seven adults with room to spread out as needed, with small den on the basement level and multiple decks. Good kitchen for preparing meals and dining room table was comfortable for our group. King bed was comfortable but other full sized beds a bit tight for our larger guys. Home was clean and well appointed. Felt secluded with beach access out the back steps, but walkable to get a drink outdoors and short drive to grocery or fish market. Enjoyed the sights of the sunsets and pier lit up at night. Would definitely return.

"Are We There Yet?" maybe should be named "I Wish I Was There."

We stayed at "Are We There Yet?" (such a catchy and appropriate name for a great place) during the first week of June. We cannot say enough about how wonderful and accomondating this place is for guests. The owner has gone to extreme effort to ensure that everything is there that a guest could need. We loved the decks and the furniture was terrrific. I especially enjoyed the upper deck and lounge chairs. We loved sitting on the middle deck in the higher chairs so you could easily see over the rails and watch the dolphins of the morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return for many more years. All I can say is that I wish I was threre now!!

Great Week!!

We had a wonderful time at this house. The house was beautiful. It was all updated and spacious. Stocked with everything you would need. Just steps to the water. We spent every night out on the deck watching the moon rise over the water. Doulphins came by in the morning. We couln't ask for much more. We spent the day on the beach and walked to the ice cream shop at night. The owner was so easy to work with and very personable. They definitley wanted us to have a great stay. I would recommend this to Families of all ages.

Great spot!

Nicely appointed home very close to the beach and the pier. We had a great time there and especially enjoyed the deck and the comfortable furniture out there. We are foodies and the kitchen was fairly well outfitted and tho on the smaller side it was lovely to be right there cooking and getting to hang out with everyone and even see the beach while doing the dishes. Terry was very helpful and attentive if we needed anything. She even left us a little welcome gift. The only hesitation in giving this an excellent review is that the Q and K beds are worn and thus uncomfortable (we love a good bed!). Overall we really enjoyed our visit and if we could afford the summer rates we'd be back here for sure!

Home Away From Home

Oh, how I loved this house! I can't say enough from the minute you walk in the door, it is decorated beautifully. The artwork throughout, which was taken by the owners and their family members adds such a personal touch. It was so clean and missing nothing to make you feel at home. If you are looking for a beautiful place to spend a glorious week or even two at the ocean, you won't be disappointed!! Any questions I had were promptly answered and I have to say the owners are wonderful people. The week had special meaning to me,as it was my last week with my daughter before she moved away from home. My family and I are definitely looking forward to staying here again next year. All I have to do is narrow down the dates with them all....

We’ll be back!!

We loved our time at ‘Are We There Yet?’! The house was perfect for all our needs! My parents were on the main level…less stairs for them! The rest of us were upstairs. The rooms were very spacious. The bathrooms for perfect for all of us to share! We absolutely loved the location of the house. The best part, the part we look at in a rental, the kitchen!! This kitchen was stocked from sponges, dish towels, every kitchen need you can think of down to a pantry! We can fill a countertop pretty quickly with stuff, so having the pantry was amazing! Terry was so kind and sweet from the start to finish! We loved finding all her notes around the house explaining what to do and not to do. It made our stay so easy! We’re already planning our stay for next year! We made great memories here, and we’re excited to make more next year!

PERFECTION!!!

Our family gets together a couple times a year at different locations always renting a large house. We are used to getting there and having to "settle in". Out settling in consists of taking clorox wipes to all the bathrooms, kitchens, doorknobs, and things that our kids would be in contact with. This house has been the cleanist we have ever seen, everything was extremely well taken care of with no detail let behind. You can tell when owners take pride and actually use their home versus the home owners who simply use it as a form of income. She was so helpful and knew exacty where everything was at. The pictures and details of the house on the website really don't do it justice. We would not only recommend this place to other people we can't wait to go back there ourselves!!!
