***Street Construction Notice*** as of June 2025, there is some street construction going on in the neighborhood. Hours of activity are from 7AM to 4PM, and it shouldn`t impact your stay, though there may be sections of the street closed off for parking, meaning you may have to park a few doors down.
This historic shotgun style home is centrally located in Mid City and a short Uber to the Superdome, French Quarter, and Bourbon. The Convention Center and Canal Streetcar are nearby as well. This classic New Orleans home is truly an experience with a shotgun layout, gorgeous original hardwood floors, 13 foot ceilings, and classic architecture. The house has everything you`ll need for your stay including comfortable beds , a fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and high speed internet.
This home is a `shotgun style` layout, very common in traditional New Orleans homes. This means that instead of having hallways, the rooms are laid out one behind the other. For this home, you enter the front into the living room, then walk through each of the 3 bedrooms (the full/common bathroom is between BR 1 & 2 in a small hallway, the half bath is in the 2nd bedroom) then reach the kitchen, then walk through the dining room, then out the back door. Please see the floor plan in the photos for a better idea of this layout!
Spread out in this vibrantly decorated, spacious unit featuring 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms with two king beds and a queen with comfortable mattresses and linens. A comfy queen self inflating air mattress with linens and pillows is also provided. You will find luggage racks and dressers in each bedroom as well as sound machines and ear plugs for sensitive sleepers. The full bathroom has towels, a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You will find everything you need to cook or enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the newly remodeled kitchen. Relax in one of two great outdoor spaces including a quaint front porch, and a backyard space. There`s also a brand new Trader Joe`s right up the street.
This home allows dogs (limit of 2) and they must be 25lbs or smaller. There is a nonrefundable fee for pets charged at the time of booking, so please be sure to include the pets on your reservation. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 fine in addition to the normal fee.

**There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***

1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their profile.
2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).
3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.
4. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee. Please smoke outside of the property and in the backyard. Dispose of trash.
5. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. Exterior cameras present at the property to verify these laws/house rules are not broken. As of May 2022, all platforms have specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from the platform.
6. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.
7. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup.
8. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.
9. This home allows dogs, limit of 2 and they must be 25lbs or smaller. There is a nonrefundable fee for pets charged at the time of booking, so please indicate pets when making your reservation. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 fine in addition to the normal fee.
10. RVs / Campers / Trailers are not allowed on the premises.
11. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.
12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.
13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.
14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.
15. Message us for long term stays.
16. Garbage day is Mondays, please bring trash can to the curb. The city does not participate in recycling.
17. All of our TV`s are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.
18. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.
19. External power outlets can not be hooked up to the property under any circumstance.
20. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it`s possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested after your additional time has been approved.
21. Owner shall not be liable for any loss, injury, death, or damage to persons or property which at any time may be suffered or sustained by Renter or by any person who may at any time be using or occupying or visiting the Leased Premises or be in, on or about the same whether such loss, injury, death or damage shall be caused by or in any way result from or arise out or any act, omission or negligence of Renter or any occupant, visitor, or user of any portion of the Leased Premises, or shall result from or be caused by any other matter of thing whether of the same kind as or of a different kind than the matters of things above set forth, and Renter shall indemnify Owner against all claims, liability, loss or damage whatsoever on account of any such loss, injury, death or damage.
22. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee. This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately.
