Older house on a private setting in the country. *The kitchen has new hardwood floors, cabinets, and sink. *New windows and doors throughout the house. *Two bedroom one bath. Extra beds in living room (pullout sofa and a day twin bed. ) 6 beds in all. Sleeps 8. With den and living room also. Washer and dryer. The cottage is in the county on a quiet road. But there are restaurants and gas station just a few minutes away. The cottage is about 10 to 15 minutes from Clemmons, Winston-Salem or Lexington

Place was dusty and dirty. The siding was falling off the house. There were bees going into the siding of the house to their nest inside the walls. Place was run down. Couldn't stay there and host wouldn't refund us.

The house was just cleaned and you never even saw the house you were not there. The cleaners had just left. The siding was hanging from the house because I had work done on the kitchen and it was not replaced like it’s supposed to be. The guy that you sent out there just was looking for a reason not to stay and I had my Listing blocked for four days because he wanted to leave therefore I couldn’t rent it to anyone else. You never even saw the house in person. And the person that was there before the man that you sent came that day wanted to stay and I had to ask them to leave so I lost money. Like I told the guy on the phone. It was an older house. It says it ended the description. I have been working on it and he seemed like he just didn’t like the country living.

The beds were comfortable. I was concerned about tripping over the extension cord that crossed the bedroom door. Kitchen is excellent but the bathroom is very small. Everything worked and it was priced right.

Family Trip

Enjoyed staying in North Carolina. The location of the Cottage is great. Close to shopping and different tourist attractions throughout NC. The Cottage could use some updating, but overall it was comfortable, like going to visit Grandma!! Thank you for letting my family and I stay in the Cottage for the week.

Excellent farmhouse destination

While there are other houses visible, this property was extremely quiet and relaxing. Great location, "civilization" easily accessible...just a short drive. Hope to stay again when we're more physically mobile (one broken back and one broken leg... hopefully we'll be fully recovered soon). Plenty of historic sites nearby.

Spring trip

Location was great. Home was reasonable considering the renovations the owner is doing. However, I wasn’t too satisfied with the cleaning. Extra bedding was dirty, and the couches, floors, covers already out, under the sofas contained a lot of pet hair. I had to rewash blankets just to know that it was “clean”. So I give the overall stay 5.5

The home had pretty much sat all winter long without any renters. We went in several times to rewash everything..

Cozy cottage stay

The cottage was accurately described and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We had some difficulty in getting in the house and find light switches (only 2), and the ceiling fans did help some with the distribution of air. Overall, the house had an odor of old house and cat urine (cat tree in corner although listed as no pets). All beds could use new mattresses and the couch near the cat tree needs to be reupholstered or replaced as it’s been clawed by the cat. Outside sheds could be a problem if you have children that don’t listen and like to explore.

I did allow pets in the house and I have changed the policies. The Cree was never taken out. The couch did belong to someone else and because it was a pull out couch for another bed I got it. . It already had the claw mark’s on it. Did not come from a cat in the house. No pants have been in the house in sometime. The two beds that have mattresses on them have never gotten any complaints before. The others are pull out couches or trundle beds. Also the sheds outside do not come with the property. Only the house is rented.

Old house in need of repairs

I was disappointed how old the house is. The lighting in the kitchen is by pulling a string that was broken. We had to get a chair to turn on the light at the light. The rest of the house didn't have overhead lighting and maybe one outlet per room. The ceiling in the room next to the bathroom was repaired, but not finished. The bathroom floor was mushy. I was worried about falling through the flooring at any minute. The washing machine didn't work at all. There were a couple TVs but it was set up with Roku and passwords were needed. Wifi was really slow. Also, lots of bugs in the house. I asked a few questions about the set up of the tv, owner responded and seemed nice. This place could be ok, but it would take about $30,000-50,000 of repairs and updates.

In the description, the house was described as an older house. There has been many updates, including windows throughout the house and I continue to work on the house. There are smart TVs in the house that do not require passwords and there is Wi-Fi available. There are four separate rooms for sleeping, which could sleep 10 people and that is well worth the money rather than going to a hotel. Like in this case. It saved her a lot of money.. The house is out in the country so there may be a couple bugs that might get in from time to time. Over for a while I would say they stay for Several people is well worth the money.
