Hidden Pond Lodge | Family Cabin on a Private Stocked Fishing Pond in Hochatown
Hidden Pond Lodge is a family cabin built around its private, stocked fishing pond, just steps from the cabin. It's an analog, screens-off kind of place: families slow down, get outside and get real face time together.
The pond
Our catch-and-release pond is stocked, with hundreds of fish that spawn every spring: catfish, hybrid striped bass, bluegill and more. It's kept clean, with cattails cut back and algae treated. Fish from either of the two docks (both with Adirondack chairs) or take the very stable pedal boat, rated for 6 adults, out on the water. Kids love it. A rack on the side deck usually holds a few fishing poles, but bring your own gear and bait to be sure. Swimming in the pond is allowed; life jackets are not provided, so please bring them for children.

Nature & Environment
One of the most memorable parts of staying in a Broken Bow cabin is being surrounded by nature. Because this property is located in a wooded setting, guests may encounter wildlife and seasonal elements during their stay.
Deer, squirrels, raccoons, turkeys, and other native wildlife are commonly seen throughout the area. The cabin is professionally treated for pests, though occasional insects such as spiders, mosquitoes, beetles, ladybugs, or wasps may still appear, particularly during seasonal transitions or rain.
During spring months, pollen from surrounding pine trees may collect on outdoor surfaces despite cleaning efforts before arrival.
Keeping doors and screens closed whenever possible helps maintain a comfortable indoor environment throughout your stay.
We encourage guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while remaining respectful of neighboring cabins and the natural environment. Sound travels easily throughout the forested area.
What To Bring
We recommend bringing groceries, condiments, cooking oils and seasonings, personal toiletries, coffee and creamers, bug spray for mosquitoes and ticks, ice, and firewood with fire starters for the outdoor firepit.
