Beautiful, clean, well stocked and cozy cabin with lots of thoughtful touches in a quiet remote neighborhood. Super communicative host, easy check in and out, would definitely book again!

Our family had such a wonderful time at this lovely cabin! The host was accommodating and was communicative to make sure our stay was a five star experience; which it was. It was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again!

Great little place, well maintained, quiet, peaceful. Breakfast and dinner on the deck amongst the trees is exactly what we needed.

Great attention to detail, including the prebuilt wood pyramid in the fire pit. It is essentially at the end of the road but that has its benefits.

Great spot, extremely responsive hosts and very smooth process overall. The property was spotless and comfortable for a couple with a toddler and a large dog.

Definitely a 5-star rental. Very clean, nice amenities, and the furniture was great - not all worn out like so many other rental properties. Same goes for the cookware and utensils. Close to the water, and the pass for the private parks was a great bonus.The owner was unreasonably responsive to questions.Pound for pound, the best I’ve ever rented. Highly recommended.

This cabin was was great! I really appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and layout and views from the two decks. The ambiance was really nice. Being pet friendly was super helpful. It's always nice when hosts appreciate that they are part of the family and proactively provide things like pet coverings/blankets to help safeguard furniture. Communications were prompt, detailed and non-intrusive during our stay. Much appreciated - definitely recommend this place!

I'd like more straighforward directions and documentation on where to go for access to the lakes. Ultimately, I just Googled it. The in-house folder has maps but they look like property maps with more detail than needed if all I want is to know where to go to access the lake. Access to lake is tightly controlled, too, so these directions are not trivial. Host was very communicative, cabin fridge and dishes were clean. I'd stay again.

Quiet, rustic, and cozy. My favorite part was being able to escape the city and see the stars at night in quiet. I really enjoyed the access the the various private parks the included pass allowed, which I wish I had taken advatange of more as an amature nature photographer. The weather was perfect, and I had everything I needed at the cabin. I'm already considering another trip to the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Staircase Rapids Retreat! It was a beautiful cozy cabin in the mountains right across from the gorgeous Lake Cushman. Be sure to take screenshots of your check-in info so you can easily access it, and not have to drive down the mountain and into town for wifi. The cabin has great wifi, but the area around it has no service. The beds were comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed plus extras. We saw deer nearby and enjoyed using our beach pass to access two parts of Lake Cushman, provided to us at the cabin. It’s very quiet and relaxing and we would love to stay there again.

We had a wonderful experience here! The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive starting with the booking - they answered all of our questions and made us feel at ease. The cabin was wonderful - incredibly clean with lots of extra touches. Many of the appliances have been upgraded since the photos were taken. We enjoyed many of the amenities, including both of the firepits, the cornhole game, and the smart tv. The cabin is tucked back on a small cul-de-sac so you enjoy some privacy, but there was still plenty of energy and fun to be had. We wandered around the neighborhoods with our dog and felt very safe the whole time. We could not have asked for anything more - it was the best!!
