Newly Renovated Carriage House in quaint, historic Hillsborough; quiet location

Newly renovate 1800's authentic Carriage House is private and quiet plus in the historic district of colonial Hillsborough. A serene 0.7 mile trek to the town center with eateries, art galleries and boutiques. Kitchen has full fridge, microwave, toaster oven, sink, 4 burner gas range, coffee and tea supplies, cooking utensils, pots, pans, flatware, breakfast table and chairs. 1st floor queen bed, 2nd floor king or two twins (depending on request), sofa & TV. Unique place with style. Fenced, private garden yard with small herb garden (rosemary, greek oregano & strawberries), 4 chair, round outdoor dining set with umbrella, sectional sofa (please feel free to throw back the cover & there are beach towels below the kitchen microwave, you're welcome to use).

A fabulous home with so much charm and incredible hosts who really take pride in this property. Every detail has been thought of and every possible amenity provided. Another great stay in the Carriage House. We had everything we needed and then some. Didn't make it to downtown Hillsborough this time since we were only seven miles from our grandkids! Can't wait to return - hopefully before the end of the year!

Needed a place to stay for a few nights while my wife was having surgery at nearby hospital. This rental was perfect location wise, very clean, comfortable beds, good AC, nice backyard area. Really no complaints, would rent again if ever in Hillsborough.

I have had a lot of great VRBO experiences, but this one was perfect! The property is wonderful, the location is very convenient to Hillsborough and the Chapel Hill area. The details are very well thought through from furnishings to parking. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable spot in a walkable neighborhood, this is it.

Wonderful stay!!

The carriage house is a beautifully updated historic home in a safe and quiet neighborhood. It was a perfect home away from home for our family when in town for a wedding- well equipped, exceptionally clean, and quite charming! Highly recommend!!!

Perfectly Charming!

The Carriage House could not have been any more perfect for our stay in Hillsborough. Great location, clean, cozy, and comfortable for the two of us. We left thinking this beautiful little cottage will be “our place” whenever we travel to Hillsborough to visit our kids and grandkids!

What a special experience! The Carriage House was as described and much more. It reminded us of our family mountain log cabin that was built in 1934 which we restored 20 years ago. Terrific host, immaculate and one of a kind. We highly recommend.

Charming Carriage House

We loved staying at the carriage house. It is beautifully decorated and maintained, and by far, the cleanest rental I have ever stayed. The owners thought of everything to make our stay feel like home, from first aid kits and flashlights to a desk stocked with notepad, pens, and paper clips. Thank you for a lovely stay!

This was our third stay at the Carriage House, and once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable and an easy walk to the historic downtown. I always regret not staying longer. The host is very responsive. I highly recommend.

This carriage house is wonderful. The owners restored it beautifully and furnished it so thoughtfully. It seemed as though we were staying in someone's home--all the little details made it awfully easy to wish we were staying for more than just a few days. Thank you for having us!

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

The ancient trees attracted us to Hillsborough, NC; yet, having an opportunity like this, to be the steward of a unique carriage house that's part of the 100+ Hillsborough homes on the National Historic Register, is something that rare. You'll find the Saturday Farmers market, Last Friday's Makers Market, garden tours, poets walk and so many more offerings throughout the year to enjoy.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This is a slice of antiquity with this structure's original purpose as a true carriage house. Originally constructed in 1879, with the kitchen added in the early 1900's to then make it habitable (as cars became the norm); this home is walkable to town (0.8miles to Cup-A-Joe and Matthews Chocolates). This home is quietly tucked away; and still close enough to enjoy all of the restaurants.
