Fantastic house on the water with plenty of space for families or groups. We loved the location and layout of the home. Heidi, the host, was very attentive and accommodating to our needs! Highly recommend!!

Unique spot for a rental

We were looking for a reunion spot for 8 people and to host other cousins for a dinner. The house was laid out perfectly for that. The live oak, the dock and the water are beautiful. My cousin is looking to rent it next.

Perfect Location for our Retreat

We hosted our company retreat at the Whiskey Creek House in late August. It was clean, had plenty of parking and the beautiful backyard gave us plenty of space to play and enjoy the view. We hope to book it again in the future! Amy and Heidi were great to work with and go above and beyond for their guests. Book this house and you won't regret it!

'Wedding Reception Under the Live Oak'

Wonderful layout for an event with view at the water's edge, the live oak tree and for overnight guests! We so enjoyed our daughter's catered dinner reception in the backyard. Our amazing host helped make our celebratory evening, and our stay, the very best it could be from answering questions to providing extra help. We highly recommend for events of any kind!

A fairy tale house and host

This was one of the best houses I have ever stayed in with the most responsive host. She recommended so many activities to our group and was always a text away. The house photos are amazing but the house in real life is breathtakingly beautiful. Everyone on this trip asked for the rental property link and said they will be booking it in the future. Can’t wait to come back!

Whiskey Creek 5star

The home was beautiful with great water views. Perfect place for my family and I to gather and enjoy some time away together. The owner was very helpful and responsive. I was initially apprehensive and anxious about being contacted outside of the app but took a chance and went with it after verifying with VRBO customer service. The owner was super friendly, offered suggestions on local restaurants and attractions. Responded to questions immediately. I will definitely return, this place was amazing!!!

Wedding weekend of our DREAMS

The we spent at Whiskey Creek was beyond what we could have ever imagined. We held an intimate, 40-person wedding on the property and this gorgeous home was the PERFECT setting. The live oak was the most stunning backdrop for our ceremony and the house itself left our guests in awe. Only my husband and I actually slept in the house because we have huge families, but any time people convened at the house, everyone felt right at home. I HIGHLY recommend renting this home for any quite, peaceful time with family, but ESPECIALLY for a wedding!!!!

Incredible home and beautiful serene setting!

This home is just magical!! Everything is beautifully decorated and there is SO much space! Large windows in the main living area to enjoy the scenic back yard with an impressive live oak that is hundreds of years old. We loved sitting on the swing under the tree taking in the gorgeous scenery by the water. The home is well equipped with comfy beds and luxury linens and towels. Heidi is a wonderful communicator and so responsive, making sure we had all the information we needed and making great recommendations about the area. Our favorite place we’ve ever rented in the Wilmington area! Our family hopes to return again soon!

Great location- Fabulous property

Beautiful property, the live oaks are amazing. Plenty of space for a large family. Dock is super easy to get in/out even @ low tide. Great location on the water. Good communication with the owner. Make sure to be honest if you are planning on having a party. Look at the limits. Also make sure to read and provide info if bringing your boat down. Park in the designated areas. There is still plenty of parking on the property, just park in the correct areas. We had a wonderful weekend. Loved the house and being on the water.. Thanks for a wonderful weekend and making great memories.

Got married here under the live oak trees and could not have asked for a better setting. The host was responsive and kind. The place was clean and comfortable. I would 100% reccomend having your wedding here if you are interested in a more intimate celebration. I hope to stay here again someday.
