Find your ideal vacation spot at Casa Calypso ! This beautiful luxury home is right on the beach with sweeping views of the Mexican Carribean. The private beach and pier allow ready access to swimming, SCUBA diving, and excellent snorkeling right out your front door. It's cozy for two, or easily accommodates up to 16 guests. Each of the four bedrooms has a full private, en-suite bath with walk-in shower. The upstairs master has a pillow-top king bed plus a queen sofa pull-out--perfect for relaxing with a commanding view of the ocean! The enormous terrace is partially covered and screened for relaxing in the sun or the shade. While the view is sweeping, it's also private for sunning! It's ideal for margaritas at sunset, relaxing dinners, or can also be used as a sleeping porch. All downstairs bedrooms also feature pillow-top mattresses for ultimate sleeping comfort. There are two downstairs masters with a king bed, plus one bedroom has two queen beds. All are uniquely furnished with top-of-the-line linens. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and appointed for 16 guests. You'll find all you need to prepare fun family meals, or you can take advantage of our Chef's Service with meals prepared according to your own special order.
The large, open-design dinining and living room areas readily accommodate a large group or special event, with sweeping views of the beach and ocean plus ready access to the pool and hot-tub.

For those who want to keep in touch, Casa Calypso has satellite TV and a stereo system that is I-Pod ready. The villa is Wi-Fi enabled so bring your laptop. There is also a VOIP phone system with free phone calls to the US and parts of Europe. For those who want to escape, the Mexican Caribbean is at your door! You'll marvel at the beautiful, clear blue water that is near 80 degrees year around--perfect for SCUBA, snorkeling, and swimming!

Amazing Location!

Loved, loved our stay at Casa Calypso! Location can’t be beat, super quiet. Close to dive sites. The management was awesome, Enrique was amazing, helped us with anything we needed and had questions on. Already planning to book again for next year! One A/C unit was out upon arrival for 3 days. The internet was in and out. The last day it didnt work at all and was still out when we left. There were minor repairs needed around the house as well. Other then few issues we had a great time. The house is very beautiful. Very spacious. The rooms are very large and it is a bonus to have a bath with each bed. Being fully stocked was another great bonus. Our over all experience was great. The view was awesome. We will be booking again. All the people were very nice.

Absolutely Amazing!

This was a fantastic house for our family of 7 adults. Plenty of space inside and out and right on the beach. Response from the hosts was always helpful and prompt. This was probably the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed at! Thank you so much!

We absolutely loved our stay, the house was perfect the area was lovely. Having a pier right on property was so nice when getting picked up to dive or for a boat ride. We look forward to going back.

Wedding Trip to Cozumel

Fantastic location. Beach acces, pool, parking and service was outstanding. We were married at Chankannab, so the location was perfect. The pier makes pick up by boat for scuba diving very convient.

This is a great house right on the beach. It is private at the end of all the houses. Probably the best location in that neighborhood.

Cozy low-key beachfront rental homes

We love the Costa del Sol neighborhood and choose to stay there because of the access to the pier for scuba diving as well as the private beach and the edgeless pool. This particular home has been our favorite that we have stayed at in the neighborhood so far. Excellent views of the beach and the ocean from the dining area! We will definitely be back to this place

Wonderful vacation spot for a family!

We were only 6 adults so definitely lots of space for us. The house can definitely accommodate twice as many. We loved the space both indoors and outdoors. Beautiful views. Great pool. Excellent service by the staff. Rodrigo and Mayra were awesome. Always responded quickly and helped with many things, especially groceries. All in all, it was a great place to vacation. The only downside (depending on your perspective) is that it is far from town so you would either need a car or take cabs if you want to visit San Miguel.

Fantastic week!!!

Beautiful, comfortable home located right in the water- snorkeling just feet away from your back door. We snorkeled every day. We’re picked up from the dock for fishing and snorkeling excursions. Myra our host was the perfect concierge helping us with excursions and any small needs we had. Highly, highly recommend- we will be back!

Ideal Destination

We had a wonderful stay in Casa Calypso! While there were other families staying in Costa del Sol, it never felt crowded, and we often had the pool area to ourselves or shared with a handful of people. The view of the water was perfect and so calming. Right on the beach! The bedrooms were spread out as such so that everybody had their own little space to retreat to, with areas to converge, as well. Exactly what we were looking for in our stay. Highly recommend!

This is our third visit to Costa Del Mar (gated community), and our favorite property yet! Directly beach front, amazing views, ocean breezes, plenty of room, quiet beach, and decent snorkeling off the dock. Everything about the property was 5 stars. The entire house is on a filtered water system (in addition to a water cooler), so that was reassuring as well! We will be back!!

Best Vacation

This house is amazing everything is up to date and is beautifully located on the beach. The pool is also located on the beach. We were a large group of 11 adults who were all diving. This house is close to all the dive sites and has a pier so that your dive company can pick you up by boat. Patty is also awesome you can coordinate all your activities through her. We all had a great time and are planning another vacation at house Calypso next year.

We loved Casa Calypso!

Casa Calypso easily accomodated 8 adults and 3 children. The beach and views of the water are wonderful. The owners were very helpful as were the managers (Patti, Rodrigo and Amber). We did not arrive until late and they had ordered and had hot burritos waiting for us! It was wonderful. Whatever needs we had, they responded to very quickly. The property is quite private and feels very safe. Casa Calypso was everything we could have wanted for our Cozumel vacation.

Fantastic getaway

We have used VRBO for several years and this home is one of the best. The photo's do not do the property justice....the gulf is just a few yards from your front door. Beauitful sunsets. The dive and fishing boats pick you up right from your own dock. Home was very clean and is well equiped for cooking your own meals. Property is south of town, away from all the cruise ships. We felt very safe on the premises. The owner was very responsive from my first email until we returned, wanting to make sure that we had a great stay. We will return to enjoy again.

Great House, Fun Dive Trips, Helpful Staff

The house was amazing! It was spacious and super clean. With all en suite bathrooms and king beds in 3 rooms, it was perfect for our group of 3 couples giving everyone some privacy but a large kitchen / den area to enjoy meals. The oceanfront views are incredible as well. We really liked that the dive company would pick us up from the dock each morning at the house. Alberto with El Pulpo was a great dive guide and gave us lots of good advice about the island! He and the boat captain went out of their way to get us to good dive sites and make certain we got to see what we wanted. Thanks to Rosalie for recommending him!!! The Your Cozumel staff were all very polite and helpful with arranging excursions, answering questions, and making certain we had everything we needed!

Feels like home!

We just returned from our second trip to Casa Calypso and it was just as much fun as the first time. We have 8 adults and 5 kids and there is plenty of room for everybody. The condo sits right on the beach and you can spend your time swimming in the pool, playing in the ocean or just relaxing under a palapa or an umbrella. They have just about everything you can think of in the condo for comfort and convenience (beach towels, hair dryers, blender, etc.) The property is well maintained and the few things that needed 'tweaking' were fixed right away. Vanesa helped us get some groceries so we had cold drinks when we arrived and chef Filo cooked our meals for the entire week making sure we got what we wanted to eat. We really like the fact that the kids (ages 5-11) are safe in this little gated community and all had a great time. Vanesa also arranged a snorkel boat trip and the crew of the Chala-Michal Snorkel Adventures was incredible - they made sure everyone in the water was OK at all times and that we all saw everything from the fish to moray eels, nurse & lemon sharks, star fish, lobster, turtles, shrimp - the list goes on and on. We had a great trip.

Peace, Quiet, Relaxation

We rented Casa Calypso for the first week in January to vacatinon with our adult daughters and their husbands. The layout of the house was fabulous allowing spacious areas for both privacy and entertainment. And with the beach and ocean steps away there is always something to do. The house was clean and as represented in the listing.So nice to have ensuite bathrooms and queen beds! My only suggestion for improvement were the bath and beach towels -- they were in poor condition, but the owner has said that they have already been replaced! Communication was amazing and we used the assistance of Myra (she is responsive both prior and during our stay) for having a few groceries stocked, finding us a rental car for a day, booking a boat for snorkeling and booking a chef for three days--breakfast and dinner! Everything was charged exactly as quoted!!! If we were to change anything, it would be the use of the chef. Breakfasts were amazing (thye cook, clean, and clear the table and were very friendly); however, for us, the dinners were very similar in taste. We would do breakfast for sure, but enjoy dining out in town, and we also did a little cooking on the grill upstairs! The day we were to snorkel, the winds were so high they closed the port--so we missed out on that :( The grounds are well kept and there is a shared pool which we did not use. The neighborhood is very family oriented and the other guests were very friendly, but not imposing. We would definately go back.

Family Vacation in Paradise

Casa Calypso simply exceeded our expectations, the photos don’t fully capture the home’s spaciousness, its’ ambiance and elegance and the full expanse of patio doors in the grand room overlooking the scenic beachfront and ocean beyond. It is the ideal spot for a large family gathering with children or a group of friends; and the owners provide all the amenities one needs for young and old. Do bring your own water jackets/vests for the wee ones. The home is situated in a gated Villa community and provides privacy and security. The community grounds are beautiful, well groomed and has a wonderful fresh water serenity pool, children’s pool and a hot tub. We took advantage of having the very affordable Chef service for 6 days and Chef Filo made us the most fabulous breakfasts and dinners, he shopped, prepared the meals and did the clean-up, we felt so pampered. For the other days we had our groceries already stocked upon our arrival by the Property Managers, Rodrigo and Amber. This was a huge convenience, you simply provide them your grocery list in advance and they will do your shopping for a small fee. Rodrigo and Amber were fabulous resources, they go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful carefree vacation; they were available at any time for information, making arrangements or getting you what you need. Also very convenient was all the extra touches, having housekeepers in 3 times a week, the vonage phone which allowed us free calls to Canada, WiFi, and being able to drink water right from the tap. It was truly a very relaxing vacation spot and we would definitely return again.

Great place, great host!

We stayed at this place three times now. The owners are great. The management is great. The views are amazing. This home is about 20 minutes from town and very safe. If you want loud partying and nights on the town this is not the right place, but if you want beautiful quiet evenings with amazing sunsets, it's perfect.

Don and Rosalie are both retired professionals from the Seattle area. We love SCUBA diving, sailing and skiing. Casa Calypso allows us to share our lives with our large family and fun friends. We usually spend our winters in Cozumel, and the summers sailing the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest.

Cozumel is safe! It's an ideal vacation spot for an active family with varied interests! The grandchildren can swim at the beach or at the pool, the adults can SCUBA, go fishing or take off for the 'wild-side' of the island, and Grandma and Grandpa can kick back on the terrace and watch it all! In the evenings, we can gather on the terrace, or head into town for a delicious restaurant meal. Whether we're walking along the malecon, or looking for a party, Cozumel is a beautiful,safe, and friendly place for all the members of our family to gather. We love it here!
