Gorgeous and extraordinarily comfortable home! Awesome views of the lake and easy access to sit on the large rocks along the shoreline. Very appreciative of the well stocked kitchen and its accessories and all the games, puzzles and local information. Girls weekend was a big hit! Thank you!

The property was equipped/supplied with nearly everything we could have needed. It is very family-friendly and well kept. The lake viewing in the home is wonderful! There wasn't a firepit which is listed on the amenities.

The home is beautiful and peaceful. It was the perfect place for our family to stay as we explored the north shore. We loved that it is right on the lake where we relaxed on the rocks and watched boats and birds. Beds were comfy, kitchen had all we needed, and our teenagers enjoyed the yard games! We hope to be back!

Our stay was absolutely incredible.The property looks even more beautiful in person than the photos.The view onto Lake Superior was amazing not only from the deck, but also the living room, dining room and master bedroom.The hosts thought of everything. A lovely bag full of goodies welcomed us.The view of the stars from the deck was a wonderful surprise.We will absolutely come back to visit

Staying at Fjordheim was great. View of the lake along with spacious rooms and kids toys made staying there wonderful. Great location to use as a home base for exploring up the shore on day trips. We even saw a large ship anchor over night right out the window. We hope to stay again next summer!

Wonderful

This house was amazing! It was so clean, excellent communication from the start, comfortable, beautiful views. It is by a 2 lane highway but it is far back enough that it is quiet there. The house was fully supplied. There was nothing it was lacking. We will hopefully be back some day and would love to stay there again!

Good one day until septic failed

Septic failed first morning during showers. House smelled like sewage. Had to leave property for day. Property manager called and septic alarm fixed (we were told), and house aired out and toilets/drains cleaned. Same circus the next morning—septic failed and house smelled like shi__ literally. Someone came and reset alarm but house stunk all night. Plumber came and inspected while we were there. Needed parts for repair at some later time. Couldn’t really enjoy what could have been a nice vacation spot. Never even got an apology.

Although we hoped the issue was resolved, it turned out that the septic pump required replacement. We’re pleased to hear that this did not affect your enjoyment of the amenities during your stay. The pump has since been replaced, and we’re grateful for your kindness and understanding throughout this process. The grounds and the home itself were very wonderful and spacious, and had everything we needed, including personal items, such as extra razors, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in case you forgot something. We were here with our daughter, husband and grandchildren, there was plenty of space for all of us! We had a lot of fun playing outdoor games which were provided, and watching movies late into the night after hiking nearby trails that are very close to this home. It would have been nice to enjoy a fire along the Lakeshore though there is no actual fire pit provided, and we did not feel comfortable starting a fire on the ledgrock area at the edge of the lake in the back of the home. The kitchen is very large, with everything needed to help us make and enjoy some very wonderful meals together. The only thing lacking were cookie sheets, and serving platters. The dining room table has seating for eight, the living room was very comfortable for all of us to enjoy each other's company while watching movies. Bedrooms are very nicely decorated with plenty of them for everyone! And very comfortable beds! I will definitely come back again the next time we are planning a trip on the North Shore!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home. It was really hard to leave as this was the perfect rental. We loved hearing the waves crash on the shore. Ideal sitting on the deck. The interior was perfectly laid out - beautifully decorated, cleverly designed optimizing the space to give the most room, and wonderfully relaxing! Can’t wait to return for another stay.
