Salty Bones: Private Pool, Close to Beach Access, Community Amenities

Located in the Villages at Ocean Hill, Salty Bones is in a quiet, sound side cul-de-sac yet only a half mile from the beach. This home has 5 bedrooms, all with flat-screen Smart TVs and features two King Masters and one Queen Master bedrooms. [Note: No dogs or other animals are allowed in this home.]

Beds: 2 King Masters, 2 Queens (1 Master), 2 Twins, 1 Bunk Bed Set; 12 Towel Sets provided

TOP LEVEL:
This floor has several bedrooms: a King Master Suite, a Queen Master Suite, and a Queen bedroom shares the hall bath with a bedroom with 2 Twin beds that has deck access. All Bedrooms on this level have flat-screen TVs.

ENTRY LEVEL:
Plan to spend time together in the large Living Room which has a 55" UHD Smart TV with sound bar. A spacious kitchen and dining area with stainless steel appliances, island seating (seats 3) and a dining table (seats 10). The kids will enjoy a separate lounge area loft which is up a short flight of stairs and has a Bunk Bed Set, TV, mini-fridge, microwave and wet bar. There is also a King Master Suite with flat-screen TV on this level. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]

EXTRAS:
Enjoy the large private pool (16' x 30'), hot tub and dining table on the outdoor patio. This home is located near the Villages at Ocean community playground and basketball and volleyball courts. There is a limit of 6 rental guests (at this property) who can use any resort amenities at one time including the 2 community pools (one by the ocean and the other by the Fitness Center). There is fee to use either the VOH Fitness Center and the pickleball/tennis courts which is also limited to 6 users. Guests will have a pass for ONE vehicle to park at the community amenities that has an oceanside parking lot, access to Sharkey's, a full-service snack bar with bathrooms located by the beach boardwalk where you may choose to beachcomb, sun, swim or stroll on the pristine beaches of Corolla.

Perfect house for a small family

This house was absolutely perfect for our small family of 10! It was so easy to get to the beach everyday and everything was as described in the listing.

less than a 10 minute walk to the beach, with 1 car pass to cart chairs and babies. House has plenty of room and kitchen has everything! Pool was great after a hot day at the beach. We had a fantastic time!

Perfect vacation

Salty Bones was perfect! It was better than the pictures. Pool was used every day as was the hot tub. The location was perfect; less than 10 minutes walking distance to the beach and less than 10 minutes to several shops. Would definitely rate this 10/10!!

Beautiful home

We stayed at this home on our first trip to Corolla. It was beautiful. The house was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was better equipped than my own. The pool and outdoor areas were clean and well maintained. It is a short walk or drive to the beach and in a very pretty and quiet community. Definitely recommend.

House is clean, well equipped, has a great floor plan and a nice pool area with lots of seating. Minor maintenance is needed for the faucet in the main sink. It is loose and is in need of tightening

Perfect for family reunion

We rented the house because my husband and I were going to a wedding but it ended up being a mini-family reunion. There was plenty of room and it was very comfortable. We spend one day just sitting by the pool eating and drinking. It is located in a quiet area of Corolla but not a horrible walk to a beach or the wildlife preserve. I would go back to this home anytime I am in the area.

Awesome time at Bono Fide Blessings!

Overall we had a wonderful time. The house was spacious and perfect accommodations for a large family. My only minor complaint was the lack of lounge chairs on pool deck. The furniture that was available was tired and some were even broken. Everything else was perfect!

Beautiful house

The house we stayed in was beautiful. Upon arrival, there was a sticky note on the dishwasher, "broken". The property manager was contacted and they sent someone out the next morning to fix. He stated that the dishwasher just needed reset. We continued to have issues with the dishes not being clean and the water did not drain completely from the bottom. Our adult kids came on Sunday and found that the toilet upstairs would not flush. The property manager was then contacted again. A maintenance man came out on Monday, stated he would have to send someone else out. Another maintenance man came in the afternoon. He could not fix it. A Plumber was called, but could not come out until Tuesday morning. It was finally fixed, but a huge inconvenience to the 2 couples that stayed in the 2 bedrooms that had the jack and jill bathroom between them, especially since they were leaving the day it was fixed. The washing machine does not spin the clothes well and the towels come out soaked, even after 2 extra spin cycles. That should be either fixed or replaced. Everything else went smoothly. There should be some kind of compensation d/t if something isn't working, the cleaning staff should have noticed and had it fixed prior to our arrival. We would have rather had a later arrival rather than an early one and things not been cared for.

A Fairly Good Stay

Our week at the Salty Bones property was good with a few exceptions. The property was clean inside and well furnished. The ladies especially liked the kitchen area as it was well organized and functional. The outside could have been tidier as there were discarded items - plastic childs swimming pool discarded and pool area could have been cleaner - dirt and debris plus spider webs. There were no instructions on how to use the TV and cable connections. Spent two days trying to figure this out. The owner shut off the cable service in the middle of the week, so we were without TV for 24 hours. Had to call property mgr to solve. The hot tub was dirty and luke warm - with no instructions on how to raise the temperature to 100 degrees. Again property mgr had to resolve this issue but finally got it to work the last two days of the week. Finally, a tall magnolia bush that touched the master suite on the 1st and 2nd floor - beat against the window and woke us up in the night due to wind blowing it - and it crashed against the window. This bush needs to be removed or trimmed away from the house. Other than those items the house was fine.

Loved house and amentities

Property was clean and provided ample space for everyone in our party. Kitchen well stocked and house was very clean. Enjoyed the pool and community amentities for little ones. Paramount Realty was major concern and disappointment. Barbara was rude, unprofessional and condescending to me over the phone as my entire family witnessed and listened in disbelief as she spoke over speaker phone. She acted like I had a disability and was slow to comprehend directions that turned out she was giving incorrectly for the type of locks and doors we were trying to open. I would recommend property owners find another group to handle their rental and we will consider other properties for future trips that they do not service.

Terrific house for a family getaway

We loved our weeklong stay at Salty Bones. We had a family of 7 adults, 2 teens, and 2 young children, and the house was perfect for us. We cooked every day and were thrilled with how well stocked the kitchen is - every tool we needed, plus more. There were tons of mixing bowls and even a crockpot. The large dining room table seated all of us comfortably (including our youngest in a high chair that was available at the house) - many houses we've rented in the past didn't fit everyone at the table, this was a big feature for us. The house was very comfortable, the beds were great and there was room for everyone. It was a very easy 10-minute walk to the beach, which many of us did several times each day; the parking passes were key for hauling our umbrellas, chairs, toys, etc. Having a pool at the house to keep the kids happy when we weren't at the beach was possibly the best feature of all. We liked Corolla a lot; it was easy to get to the grocery store and a super-short drive to jet skiing, mini golf, etc. We highly recommend this house!

The rental was more than we expected! It was well appointed. We did not want for anything! We were close to the beach and to the 4 wheel drive beach. Close to shopping and grocery store. Would stay here again!

The house was great and just what we needed!

Overall, the house was great and just a short walk to the beach. The pool and hot tub were great, as well. The house was stalked with beach necessities and extra household items. I would like to see the bees taken care of but nonetheless it was a great home for vacation!

Great Home

The house was perfect for our family vacation. The layout of the house was beautiful and allowed for comfort and relaxation. We enjoyed all of the amenities greatly. We found the proximity to the beach to be ideal and the neighborhood to be a wonderful area to walk around. We hope to return soon.

Perfect location to relax. Short walk to beach and 4x4 beach entrance

This home was beautiful and well appointed with everything you need for a week at the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the beach each day and returning to our own pool to enjoy a relaxing swim and drink. There are plenty of comfortable beds and we made our own dinners most nights. There are several good restaurants close by. We rode our bikes to a strip of stores 1.5 miles down toward Corolla Center and had breakfast one day. We had some beers and Larry’s Lemonade at the Shack Coffee Shop and Beer Garden one eve. I was really impressed with the Ceviche at Agae Roja in Corolla, the bartenders were pretty entertaining and they make good Margaritas.

Loved the space! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because one guest had to wash their comforter when they arrived because it was covered in dead gnats! Otherwise it was awesome and we loved it!

Peaceful and super fun for the family.

We had an awesome time during our stay in Bono Fide Blessing. It was very quiet on the sound side and felt like a true relaxing vacation. My kids went back and forth from the pool to the beach. The house was clean and well stocked. We could not find a vacuum cleaner which would have been nice to help keep things tidier throughout the week. We could not figure out how to turn on the outdoor shower, I think the valve was not turned on. We just used the hose right next to it so we kept the sand in the house and pool to a minimum. I spend a ton of time in the outdoors with work and play. With that said, the sound side does have more bugs than across the street. It was really beautiful and peaceful but a few citronella candles and bugs spray are key. I don't say that to deter anyone from staying on the sound side as it was awesome but come prepared. It was easy to manage even at the height of the summer. My family had a wonderful stay and we look forward to returning soon. Thank you!
