Escape to the peaceful beauty of winter in Northern Lower Michigan with a stay at this charming two-bedroom cottage in Frederic. Nestled on a spacious acre and surrounded by nature, this cozy retreat is the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the magic of the season.
With the AuSable River, Hartwick Pines State Park, and Huron-Manistee National Forest all nearby, you'll have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Spend your days snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking, exploring snowy trails, or simply taking in the quiet beauty of a Northern Michigan winter. After your adventures, warm up by the fire, enjoy a meal at a nearby restaurant, or settle in for a relaxing evening at the cottage.
Inside, the cottage offers the comforts you need for a relaxing stay, including Smart TVs, satellite and cable channels, and a well-equipped kitchen for cozy meals at home. Whether you're looking for outdoor adventure or a quiet winter escape, this cottage provides a comfortable home base for enjoying the season.
Conveniently located just over an hour from Traverse City, Petoskey, and the Mackinac Bridge, it's also a great starting point for exploring more of Northern Michigan.
A few important notes: Pets are not permitted on the property, and smoking is prohibited indoors. A $250 fee will be charged for any violation of these policies.

Great place to stay. Close to trails and can walk to the Swamp Bar for dinner and drinks. Could use a little TLC, but clean, private, and very peaceful.

This is a lovely, private and picturesque getaway. The frontage on the river is spectacular! There are several indoor and outdoor seating areas to enjoy the view from. Very clean and well appointed living quarters. Well located for both summer and winter activities. We have family in the area and hope to be able to come back to this special place!

Very easy to get to. This is a very peaceful secluded retreat with a small stream running through the back of the property. Real large yard with fire pit. All the things needed for a relaxing vacation.

Very peaceful, well maintained place. Beautiful property right off the river. Had a great time just relaxing right off and even in the river. Great hosts and very courteous. Unfortunately/fortunately we didn't have internet while we were there, which was totally fine. Every effort was made to get it restored, and it was not the hosts fault. It was nice to unplug and spend time with the family. Overall had a great time and made memories.

It was easy to find pleasantly decorated very nice yard on the river overall, a great day would highly recommend staying here to anyone

It was the perfect peaceful place for us to stop halfway home. Sitting by the river was so peaceful. We didn’t stay for long, just to sleep, but it would be the perfect place for a family getaway.

What a darling, cozy , charming place. Feels like someone let you into their home and shared a peice of their little heaven. The property & surrounding is beautiful and peaceful.
