Shabby Shack

Sit on the wrap around porch and watch beachgoers pass by. Swing in the hammock and doze off to the sound of the ocean. Enjoy the outdoor shower after a day on the beach. Take a leisurely bike ride to the local shops and dining. Stroll down the white sand beach and watch the moon rise as the sun sets behind you. Just three houses back from the ocean it is only a short walk to the beach! If you value these things over a fancy decor then this is the place for you!
Other things to note
Bed linens and bath towels are provided.
Please don't forget to bring your own beach towels!

Our family had a fantastic week at The Shabby Shack! Great location, an absolutely amazing porch, plenty of seating inside and out, beach chairs, etc. We loved it!

Our stay at the Shabby Shack was wonderful. A classic beach cottage with a lovely layout, and just steps to the beach access. Our family enjoyed all the one of a kind art and books and found the place to have everything we needed for our stay. The beds in the secondary bedrooms were very soft, so if you are traveling with people who like a firmer mattress this is important to note. Our kids were just fine with them, and the bed in the master is more firm - I found it to be comfortable. The host was kind and responsive and even helped us with shipping back a handful of items we missed when we packed up to leave! We enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

I know it looks odd to rate everything at 5, but I have to say, we really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect location for beach access, for having a place to visit with our local relatives (with well-behaved dog), and for cooking in or enjoying take-out. The deck is wonderful for morning coffee. Awesome artwork! And parking for 3 cars. Thanks to our hosts for a very enjoyable stay.
Loved the corner hammock on the deck!

The house was a perfect location, clean and the property manager was flexible and amazing! Highly recommend this rental!

Not Shabby At All!!

The Shabby Shack was more like a cute, lite beach bungalow and nothing about it was shabby!  I love its petite size with space for sleeping 8 and a giant porch for relaxing on.  While it's surrounded by big houses, this is perfect for a more intimate, small vacation group - I hope it never gets torn down!  An outdoor shower is a must in my family while on beach vacations and this one was great!!  There are minor things that could use upgrading (pots and pans and cooking utensils), but the appliances seemed fairly new.  The new living room sofa is quite comfortable, as is the new outdoor lounge furniture!  The beds and pillows were comfortable and the decor was very cute.  The house was quiet and we all slept well.  The owner was very attentive and communicative.  I only had a few small questions, but Orsi responded immediately and was very warm, welcoming, and pleasant to email with.  We appreciated the reminder that the beach well water isn't too tasty (even though it is safe to drink) and provided us with a few bottles of drinking water (future guests: a Brita is good to bring, too, to help dampen the funny taste).  Best of all, dogs are welcome.  My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we really hope to return in the future!!!  Im very grateful for having such a lovely place to stay at an affordable price and perfect size for my family.

We enjoyed staying in the house. We liked the size of the house, location and amenities. The kitchen was well stocked with items for food prep. The porch was great. It was a little too humid to enjoy it like we wanted.We did not use the chairs and beach items but it is great that there are plenty available for use.There is room to park 3 cars which is a plus.The exterior of the house could use a little maintenance.

We loved staying at the Shabby Shack in Wrightsville Beach for our Kelly family reunion. It was convenient to everything, had all the amenities we needed and just enough room for 4 adults and 2 toddlers. We are hoping to be able to stay there again next year in July for the next family gathering!
