We stayed here for the second time with some college students we brought from PA. The property setup is so convenient, location (from Cambridge and Blackwater Refuge, especially) is fantastic, and the dock and kayaks/crab pots are such a great bonus. Mark is so proactive about sending info in advance of your trip, checks in after arrival, and is so responsive to messages/questions. We hope to be back a third time two autumns from now. :)

Secluded Paradise

Beautiful, secluded venue with lovely accommodations and working wi-fi via Starlink. Everything we wanted and needed for our extended family. Swimming, kayaking, fishing, crabbing, stargazing.... Hosts were gracious and accomodating.

Eastern Shore Gem

This property is wonderful. It’s 20 minutes from Cambridge, and well-stocked for cooking and recreating. Mark and Patti were communicative, and we had all of the information we needed well in advance. Thank you both!

Taylor's Island Resort

We were looking for a quiet, waterfront getaway to celebrate a milestone birthday with family, and this Taylor’s Island location was absolutely perfect. Our group enjoyed kayaking, swimming, fishing, stargazing, making s’mores around the fire ring, and plenty of other outdoor activities. On clear evenings, we were treated to breathtaking sunsets from the dock, followed by a spectacular view of the stars. The house was thoughtfully stocked with everything needed to cook and dine comfortably for eight adults. Mark was an exceptional host—responsive, attentive, and always just a message away.

Beautiful, quiet, remote

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful getaway and we found it! Loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the dock, watching the water and the waterfowl, including the occasional eagle. Had hoped to kayak but the current was running a little too fast. A nicely-equipped kitchen and a VERY comfortable bed with reading lights in the upstairs bedroom of the main house. Comfortable couches with pretty good reading lights and a wonderful screened in porch. Spent a lot of time there, though recommended to the owner that they get some lounge chairs for perfect relaxing. Thinking of coming back in the winter!

Our hosts, Mark and Patti have a beautiful place and communicating with them is a breeze. They get the award for the best and most thoughtful stocked place we’ve ever stayed in. All that is necessary to make and serve big meals (apart from the food itself - :-)) is there. All was clean. Nice linens throughout. The peacefulness and quiet is otherworldly. Great kayaks. Love the bunk house with its own complete setup which was perfect for having grown children and their families or if you had friends visit. I appreciated the view of the pier from the kitchen. It’s a good sized yard without being too far between house and water. It let me watch my family crab while I cooked. In a little over a week we caught over 2 and half bushels of crabs with baited traps and chicken necks on weighted strings and steamed them 4 times! And the pier is great - wide and long enough with lights and seating- perfect with several people out there at one time. A favorite restaurant Boats & Hose is within 5 minutes and we had the extra treat of timing our visit with the Chesapeake Cowboys, extreme boat docking competition, five minutes away as well! A lovely week! Thanks Mark and Patti!

Great place for a large family gathering. Kitchen is well stocked, kayaks and crab traps were fun for the kids. Had a wonderful time around the fire pit at night making s’mores, kept the bugs away too! Not a whole lot to do in the nearby area, so need to bring your own fun. Place was well stocked with games. Sunsets were beautiful. Very enjoyable location.
