During the summer months take a short walk down the street where you will find an endless network of National Forest trails for walks, runs, and bike rides. Or make the quick 4-minute drive to Patton Beach, which is dog-friendly and great for swimming. Nearby Patton Beach you will find more entertainment and dining options such as the famous Garwoods Bar and Grill, a wonderful lakefront dining experience, CB’s Bistro and Pizza for family dinners, Magic Carpet Mini Golf and Arcade for the little ones, and a 7-11 for all of your late-night needs. The beautiful Carnelian West Beach provides another excellent swimming spot just a 4-minute drive from the home.
In the winter months, you are only 20 minutes from Northstar, 25 minutes to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, and 10 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic Center where you will find a huge network of trails for XC Skiing or snowshoeing. All those wonderful trails on the National Forest system are perfect for enjoying some XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months.
If a little less physical activity is what you are looking for, you are just a 10-minute drive west to Tahoe City and 6 minutes east from Kings Beach. In both places, you will find sandy beaches, farmers markets and major grocery stores, golf courses, small boutique shopping, waterfront parks, golf courses, weekly concerts in the summer, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants.
