The house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Bar Harbor is a bit of a drive, but it’s close to the park, some beautiful trails, and a lighthouse. There is a laundry in the house, which was not in the listing. There are some nearby restaurants and shops. Host communication was great!

The house is in a good location. Directions were very helpful to find it. Cleaning needs to be stepped up. There was trash from previous visits under the beds and the couch was full of dog hair. Overall, I would recommend if you are going to Acadia.

Excellent large home/property. We enjoyed our stay. Easy check in, host very kind and responsive. Everything is clean and well maintained. Comfortable beds, beautiful kitchen/dining, and living areas. Host provides essentials plus.evrything very thoughtful. Includes washer/dryer which is a great convenience. We enjoyed the firepit and sitting areas on the porch. Perfect location away from the crowds but still close to everything. Bass Harbor Light house, Wonderland Hike, Ship Harbor Trail, 4-6 min drive. Seaside Dairy Bar, Hansen's Outpost, and Thurston's Lobster Pound were close and great!

Perfect stay

Beautiful place, had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Extremely clean and very cozy. Perfect distance for anything on the island but also quiet.

Comfortable stay on MDI

We had such a wonderful stay at Nicole's house with our family and our pup. The house was very clean and well-stocked, with plenty of space for our group to spread out and relax. We loved being on the quiet side of the island and so close to delicious spots for lobster. We'd love to return!

Fabulous house! Extremely spacious, clean, comfortable and well decorated. Hostess very communicative and accommodating. Very large comfy porch to hang out on along with a fire pit in the back. Super seafood restaurant (Archie’s) on the water less than half a mile away. Terrific area for hiking enthusiasts.

We had a great experience with “Drop Anchor.” Nicole, was a wonderful host and very communicative. The home was nicely furnished and very clean. The home was a nice size for our family of four. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park were a short driving distance away. We would highly recommend this home.

Fabulous Stay in Southwest Harbor Area

The home was very clean, tastefully decorated and perfect for our family meeting spot. Large dining table for dinner or board games. Very comfortable living room. Bedrooms were comfortable and well sized. Location was perfect for us as we like to avoid the crowds yet still be near the main attractions of Acadia. Owner quickly responded to any questions we had.

This home was perfect! Beautifully decorated, plenty of room to spread out, outdoor spots, and complete with everything we needed! This location worked well for day tours and away from the chaos of Bar Harbor. We took all of Nicole’s advice for tours, shopping & where to get local lobster for home cooking-and out….fabulous!I do not have any recommendations for improvement- we hope to be back soon! Thanks so much Nicole, what a great trip!!

The house is very spacious, comfortable, nicely appointed with care and away from the busyness of Bar Harbor and other communities. But there is great access into Acadia NP and around Mt Desert Island. Host Nicole communicates and responds promptly.

Great Find

Drop Anchor is a well appointed and comfortable home with plenty of light and space. Its close to quaint Bass Harbor and the We stayed with friends and totalky enjoyed it. We would definitely return! lighthouse as well as the ferryhome with plenty

Weekend on MDI

My wife, daughter, our puppy and I had a wonderful visit at the Drop Anchor. The house is nicely furnished, very comfortable with room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen was spotless and well stocked. While on the quiet side of MDI, South Harbor with its shops and restaurants is only minutes away. Nicole was very helpful and made the whole process easy and comfortable.
