Our week at Rooster Cottage was amazing. Three couples enjoyed the views, the location and the comfort of this beautiful cottage. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms were perfect. We love the “ quiet side” of Acadia and so happy we found this perfect place to stay. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to stay near Southwest Harbor.

We stayed with friends and it was the perfect setup for privacy and gathering! The property is clean, bright and sunny with amazing views! Cannot wait to go back! Feels like home but close to so many activities.

This was our second time staying at Rooster Cottage and it did not disappoint! The Churchmans provide everything that is needed for a wonderful vacation. The house has excellent views of Southwest Harbor and is a short drive to Acadia National Park. We hope to return again next year.

Beautiful views of the harbor, short easy drive to the SW Harbor Main Street, clean, comfortable, quiet, responsive communication from host. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home in a quiet and serene setting. Rooster Cottage was perfect for our week in Maine. A very comfortable and spotless home. The large back porch was a perfect place to sit, relax and watch the boats in the harbor. Close to Acadia for hiking and Bar Harbor. The Host was quick to respond with questions. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage with amazing views

From the spectacular views of the ocean and mountains to the sparkling clean, thoughtfully furnished interior, Rooster Cottage exceeded our expectations. We hope to stay there again in the future!

Fantastic house with gorgeous views. This was a perfect place for our family vacation away from the Bar Harbor crowds but close enough to all Acadia has to offer. The kitchen had everything we needed. Best part was watching the sunrise over the harbor from the porch.

The location of Rooster Cottage provides views that are beyond words. Especially if you live in the Midwest. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Ideal location away from busy Bar Harbor

Beautiful vacation home! Great location right on the harbor. The kids enjoyed the yard and it was an easy drive to Bar Harbor and all the top spots in Acadia. Very clean, spacious. We recommmend.

Perfect Stay!

Just returned from a fabulous vacation on Mt Desert Island. Rooster Cottage was just as described and provided us an excellent place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Southwest Harbor. Acadia National Park is a short drive from Rooster Cottage and is a “can’t miss” place to visit. You will not be disappointed in your stay at Rooster Cottage in Southwest Harbor, Maine!

Lovely, relaxing, peaceful

Well equipped kitchen, great bathrooms, windows to watch activities the harbor, yet quiet enough to watch the rain approach and pass by. The deck was great both sun and shade available! We had a lovely time

Family trip to Acadia

Rooster Cottage was the perfect place for our COVID-delayed trip to Acadia. It was spotlessly clean, and the two suite bedrooms upstairs served our needs to a tee. Sunrises over the harbor were gorgeous, and we loved taking walks in the evening around the neighborhood. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Nice, clean house in great location.

This house was nice and clean. Provided good inside and outside space for our family of 4, in a picturesque, quiet location. Close to village center for stores. Also close to hiking, biking and swimming.

Great location!

My family of five adults stayed at rooster cottage for one week. The house was beautiful, neat and modern. There was plenty of space at the table and living room for everyone to be comfortable. The deck and deck view were our favorite. We would definitely stay there again!

Loved reading on the sunny deck and watching the sailboats in the harbour. Home is close to the town of SW Harbor . The home was so comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Sad to leave!

Relax and enjoy the view

The view from the very spacious deck is fabulous. The house is open, airy, light, and comfortable. Bedrooms were spacious and more than accommodating. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful stay

Rooster Cottage is spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Located in the little hamlet of Manset, the cottage offers beautiful views across the working harbor at all times of day. Rooster Cottage is half an hour or so from the major attractions of Acadia National Park on the eastern side of the island, though there are several beautiful hikes just a few minutes away. We can highly recommend this property.

Great location and views

Beautiful home well cared for. Great views, and very clean and maintained. My only negative is the kitchen needs more pans and utensils for someone who likes to cook. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Stunning home with wonderful water view

Five of us totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The deck overlooks the harbor, and we relished seeing the many moods of Maine. The owner was gracious and accommodating & Ronan the caretaker was responsive & helpful. We highly recommend this property.

It was perfect along with the location! We had four adult friends stay. .., plenty of space, privacy and hot water!! We enjoy cooking together and that was fine too! Close to so many activities and the view! Amazing! We'll be back! Thank you!

Beautiful house overlooking the water

This house was even better than the photos indicated. It has beautiful common spaces downstairs, and we appreciated the two en-suite king bedrooms upstairs. (Our group included two adult couples.) We loved sitting on the deck and watching the boats come and go in the harbor!

Great location!

Very clean and spacious, big windows with great ocean views! Nice furnishings and artwork. Upstairs king size beds are very comfortable, but downstairs twins should be only for young kids. All beds have very nice cotton bedding and towels. Had fun biking alongside the shore, amazing trails and beaches nearby. Would definitely go again!
